HOW TO MAKE YOUR TURBO LOUDER IN A CIVIC TYPE R (FK8)

I got a fk8 . Get rid of the dryer sheets put a decent panel filter like a k&n or use standard filter and rather cut 2 holes in the bottom of your standard air box with a 2.5" hole saw , I did that looks standard sounds great more cold air and no issues .

And no you are not making more boost with that setup. It’s also been proven that the stock air box makes very good power compared to other aftermarket options (dyno tested).

PRL intake is only $400 + the titanium inlet for $500 and youll have a LOUD turbo that actually flows and makes significantly more power than the stock setup.
E30 tune with PRL flex fuel kit + dp/fp + mishi or hks FMIC + inlet pipe + HVI with race MAF = 400- 420whp

That setup isnt a ton of money and makes 120-140whp over stock on stock turbo/stock fuel system

Dryer sheets? You are restricting the turbo and making it work harder aka adding more wear to it for no reason. Youll also get small pieces of dryer sheet into the engine eventually and ruin your motor.

Just use a K&N replacement filter. This is a terrible idea, not only will it NOT help performance as it has a way lower surface area than the stock panel and will cause a bigger pressure drop across it, you're risking destroying your turbo and engine just to make it slower for a bit more noise. DONT
