Hi girlie! (I’m 75 so I can say girlie.) Centuries ago there was a marching song about a black powder musket called Black Betty. The black musician Leadbelly did a song by that name in the 1930s. Also there was an early recording of a Texas chain gang. More like a chant. Many other variations too. This one from the 70s is simply about a white guy and a black woman. It was banned from some radio stations for supposedly being racist. It wasn’t. The radio stations were. Their affair was nobody’s business but their own. Now. Have to say this. You are so pretty!
