I turned 50 years old this year. I had 3 surgeries in 2019 (01/19 emergency surgery to remove walnut size gallstone that broke through & passed into my intestine, 06/19 removal of gallbladder, AND FINALLY 12/19 hernia surgery as a result of the first 2 surgeries). I lost all my core strength during & after these surgeries, my posture has declined, my breathing has become difficult after even easy exercise, & I've lost interest in my love of hiking & being outdoors. I've decided to look into videos to help rebuild my core strength & get back to feeling ALIVE AGAIN! I have watched about 5 videos & yours is the one I feel most comfortable with. I am looking forward to following your video & look into other videos of yours as I rebuild my core strength. Thank you!

Hey Michelle! I got a question about the laying-down exercises...

So, I heard on another video about core exercises that the lower back should be kept flat against the ground as much as possible; to prevent any of the workload being transferred to the lower spine, instead of the abdominal muscles.
But for these exercises, a gap seems intentionally maintained between the lower back and the ground?

I was wondering if there was a reason for that?

Thank you for making this video btw!

Enjoyed this core exercise. Easy and effective! The sound is off on this video. I’m sure you’ve fixed that. Like your explanations and gentle approach as I’m 77 but still look good due to exercise! I’ve subscribed.🌼

I'm new to your channel and looking to strengthen my core muscles and lose weight. After 4 years of taking care of 2 elderly parents that were bed ridden I've ruined my back. I had to quit work to care for them so I've gained a lot of weight, stress eating taking care of my mom who had Dementia. Mom passed away Aug 7th '21 so now I need to take time for myself and get back in shape again. Thank you for your videos

Did I ruin any chance of fully getting better because I didn’t take my exercises seriously in the beginning? Or if I start really focusing on it now can I still recover my annular tear
