ОтветитьKiller lisp dude!
ОтветитьThis is a great reason why most people should buy graded or authenticated coins, especially if you’re a beginner.
ОтветитьHe is selling silver half dollars at over twice the current value.
ОтветитьHe can ask whatever he wants. Hes not scamming.
ОтветитьThat seems crazy high especially if the coins are beat to hell lol
ОтветитьNothing but a scam artist
Ответить$40 each?! Lol 😅😂
ОтветитьIt’s funny how little he knows yet the coins are strongly overpriced in his favor…. 🧐
ОтветитьYou don't need this stuff. Get another hobby.
ОтветитьIt would not be smart to buy that at flea market! If you want to gamble on a single ordinary silver coin, I guess you won't lose tons if its fake. But a GOLD coin! No freaking way. My Dad sells fake jewelry at the local flea market, it's obviously fake and he only asks $15 for the necklace with pendant (10MM silver chains that would be $200 if real silver) and these people still come back a month or two later cursing him out about it turning colors because they thought the $15 necklace would be real silver LMFAO... based on that knowledge of the normal flea market goer, I doubt this man will ever make any sells! People want real for $15 bucks and fake for $1 buck
ОтветитьWhat u guys be going to sellers is crazy it doesn’t matter what Google or anything else says his price is his price you can’t argue with somebody if they want to sell it at the price they are selling it at if you want it at the price everybody else are selling it at why not just buy it where you seeing the price?
ОтветитьI often see these type stalls and never buy anything 'cos it's not aimed at me, it's prices for newbies who don't know better. They never have decent ancients and if they do they're way over what I'd pay. I guess they're waiting for the right person to come along!
Mind you I don't tend to haggle well but if I want it and it's within budget I'll buy and then the nice ones knock some off...My experience is also some stalls think I'm a thief and seem reluctant to get things out more than one coin at a time; I get frustrated asking can I see that one again and the previous few again they get annoyed and I leave, they think I'm timewasting. They must have had a bad theft I assume! Ultimately it's mostly overvalued crap that you gotta catch the wave upwards on. I honestly expect to get what I paid or less when I sell, I just enjoy the hobby. I've never bought a slabbed coin either.
Rule #1......TRUST NO ONE...
ОтветитьIf you're going to get into coin collecting, it's worth it to buy the book that comes out every year that lists the updated values of collectible coins. Never shop without the red book, or you're just giving your money away.
ОтветитьThis is a great video I love it, you made the end of the video about making things overpriced while stating that he knows nothing about the coins and their prices
ОтветитьHe can ask what he wants for his merchandise. People like him are very common at the markets throughout the country. You should walk away and bother some other dealers. You have been exposed as a sneaky pest!
ОтветитьThe "antique dealer" was certainly a duck. I am no coin collector, and I only own (not many) ancient coins. It is good to be aware of fraudulent businesses and fraudulent products. Thanks for this informative video. It took me some hard lessons for me to open my eyes.
ОтветитьAny time I hear an old bag barking about “surgeon in WWII” I just automatically assume it’s a BS story and they’re just chicken hawks.
I can’t agree more about your remark about informing your family.
My wife knows the value to the penny and I track everything in a spreadsheet. I’m 27 and saving silver and gold for our son who’s 5 months. It’ll be a nice 18th birthday gift. I’m trying to spend $7500 a year in coins. I just started a week ago and already ordered a precious metals verifier since I’m still so new to learning coins. Lots to learn.
Just his prices on the peace dollars and halves i would have known i wasn't buying anything
ОтветитьHis trying to make money if you dont want it dont buy it
ОтветитьI'm not saying you can't happen upon some great finds at places like this, but this is one reason we always bought from some official mint as a kid. My grandpa used to tell me most people trying to make money selling wares don't care about you, and will use your good nature against you because life has corrupted their honor.
I didn't truly and fully understand what it meant until decades later. Oddly enough he always frequented these places. Both grandparents seemed to love them.
I guess i do too. Looking at odds and ends and antiques. They bring back memories. But nowadays my grandparents and parents aren't there to fill in the blanks with stories about all the little things they remember. To me, that was the real treasure.
Still to this day, I always buy from mints because while i got educated, i always forget most of what I learned. Especially after 35. I'll get into something for a few months and learn about it then 5 years later I've retained like 10% at most.
You know, it's strange but my most valuble coin to me is the one I made as a kid. That and my old scout necklace coin. Oh and my colored spirit bead camp bracelet. I used to really think it had magic to it. Especially the aquamarine bead for some silly reason I never understood. It was neat because if you were a lifer, you could get so many beads over the years as a counselor and even staff. Made me wonder what a full set would look like once they converted it to the necklace.
So what . . You have to get burned and lose we've all start that way it's called getting an education that coin dealer doesn't owe anybody anything his job is to sell an item at the highest point possible if you don't know what you're doing MAYBE YOU SHOULDN'T BE SPENDING $600 DOLLARS on something you know nothing about so this experience is valuable 1. You learned that maybe you shouldn't be buying precious metals at a FLEA MARKET!
2. the bad man is not your friend because NOBODY IS ESPECIALLY IN THIS BUSINESS!
3. now that you've been taken you understand your not a sexy international coin dealer but a bright green Nubi that any coin dealer from Sea to shining sea is going to spot as soon as you walk in the door it's call SELF AWARENESS NUMISMATICS STYLE !
That guy's full of s*** talking out of both sides of his mouth...... Sorry but it's the truth
Ответитьsomeone tried selling a one ounce silver libertad in a bezel and worn out for 70$ at a swap meet. i know what silver is worth and just walked away and for all i know it may be fake
ОтветитьEither the guy bought it everything from an estate sale or he bought a storage room locker but there’s way too much story he’s telling it seems like he’s a con man I could be wrong though it’s only my opinion
ОтветитьI would probably NOT buy from that guy. His story seems fabricated, and his prices are insane. It appears as if he is trying to overprice and sell you on the idea that you are purchasing a piece of history. Blah blah blah.
ОтветитьLeave the old man alone. Not everyone gets that far into prices and grades
ОтветитьI can't stand these type of people. We have one at a flea market we go to he sales everything literally double what it's worth. I asked about some of them he said 4$ for dimes 6.50 for quarters 16 for halves 31 for buffalo's and I just chuckled to myself and he instantly knew I was not a sucker
ОтветитьYou said it is there only there to take your money and rip you off
ОтветитьI just started collecting silver coins. Thanks for these vids. I don't think i would ever buy coins at a flea market.
ОтветитьThem gold coins I found them for $250 too $300 back in 2013
ОтветитьThe gold ones been clean
ОтветитьGot sort change by one of these ass wholes
ОтветитьAt those prices I wouldn't buy jack sh*t from that guy unless they are all MS-70!
ОтветитьHe should close his booth not right to do that to people just ripping people off!!!!
ОтветитьNewbies need to start out by buying cheaper coins. Maybe start out with silver constitutional. Buy a few then go home and research them. Better yet, do some research then go test the waters before jumping in head first. Yeah, that seller was a total scammer. He knew exactly what he was doing -- ripping people off. I don't believe for a minute that ANYBODY is putting 5 daughters thru med school! These days MD's don't make any serious money.
ОтветитьExcellent video . Very informative .
ОтветитьNo I would not buy from him.
ОтветитьGreat job sir. I despise fake evil people!
ОтветитьThanks for sharing the truth 🙏 and exposing the corruption and greed
ОтветитьOh I see this at flea markets on a lot of things not just coins. Old tonka trucks, pocket. Knives , many many antiques Bb guns yes BB guns . I saw old man last week trying to get me on a walking liberty. .. nothing special about it.
ОтветитьThis guy's so full of bs it hurts.
ОтветитьAntique dealers and estate sellers are the biggest crooks I have seen. They routinely dump their finds on eBay and Craigslist and in flea markets to unsuspecting buyers. These people also avoid being pinned down on grading and connecting prices to anything realistic.
ОтветитьGenerally don't buy coins from Flea Markets.
ОтветитьHoping a sucker will buy off him😊
ОтветитьNothing but fertilizer this guy is saying Bring a coin book buy at 30% below trends
ОтветитьPeople like that are making it a bad hobby bye saying that coins are rare that are not rare and over pricing coins
ОтветитьStay away from flea markets for coins, period. Junk sellers sell junk.
ОтветитьAll it takes is one sucker to make his nut for the day.
