Hi Dr. my husband has minor scarring due to methotrexate meds. It's been almost a year and there's no progress. it didn't get worse but not getting better either. His Dr says he shouldn't fast or take supplements like milk thistle, and hasn't suggested any of the things u did here. I'm so confused but from the comments I can see that supplements work

All I can think about is him dieing of this scarring. If it doesn't get better does it mean that it will get worse?

My mother has fibrosis c19 is at 120. Is it precancer stage . What is precaution. I am from India.

Dr Berg. I know i asked this before but i have cirrhosis due to Primary sclerosing cholangitis. Bile salts dont work for me. Bileducts scarred and clogged. The key is to able to unclog those. Only certain brief treatment is ERCP. But it works temporary. Its risky. Had over 12 of those. I do intermittent fasting and somedays i do dry or liquid fasting. Liver Disease causes osteoporosis, loss of muscle, hypothyroidism, fibrosis of portal veins and mucj more.

I had stage 4 cirrhosis from a gammaglobulin shot in 1981 before blood supply was screened I came down with Hep B and non a non b which was later named Hep C , my body cleared the B I took treatment for C then I took yeast probiotic Sacchoromyces Boulardii and high dose Melatonin and now I have perfect pink liver my cirrhosis was confirmed by 2 biopsies and didn't drink alcohol only distilled water ate healthy no fast food, sugar or starches

My fibroScan showed 30kpa... my blood results are very good including fibromax.
My MRI showed that my liver has a cirrhosis aspect, I'm a little bit confused, I'm not a drinker, I don't smoke (or ever smoked), I eat only cooked food, with deepfrying stuff or fats, I eat 80% plant based... Any idea why my liver looks bad and the fibroscan scor is so big ? Can be something genetic ?

Yesterday I came to know that I have alchoholic and fatty liver and that is 4 stage. I am 33 year old.
Please suggest how I can over come it.

I don't know who want to hear this. I got my liver damaged severely a year ago, after i watched this and some of Dr. Berg's videos regarding liver, i started doing below and now I'm (and my liver) totally 💯 healthy.
1. 16 HR fast - 8 HR eating window
2. First thing in morning empty stomach lemon water with very little ACV
3. After 30 min a coffee
4. After 30 min a breakfast with half raw onion and crushed 3-4 garlic cloves with small piece of ginger (raw)
5. Use olive oil for anything
6. 30 min exercise everyday
7. Sun exposure 10-20 min everyday
8. 2 meals including BF
9. Between means used to eat grapefruit and Indian gooseberry

I'm 46 and have stage 4 Liver Cirrhosis. I never drank. I got it from fatty liver disease and hep c which i had cured a few years ago. I drastically changed my diet, and since the last few years my liver levels have improved. I should add, i juice healthy drinks, and drink mushroom coffee, I stay away from sugar and corn syrup, i take vitamins and supplements such as milk thistle and other stuff good for your liver, i do not take nsaids like ibuprofen, etc., and it helps to add a little exercise to your daily life

Dr. Berg, I was recently diagnosed with F2 fibrosis. My ultrasound showed a mild fatty liver and my doctor ordered fibroscan. I am completely off carbs and trying to lose weight. My doctor told me not to take D3. He told me to only take vitamin E and nothing else. I need your advice, please. I have asymptomatic gallstones, too. Thank you

What is AVC AND BF?

I'm a little confused. When you said that cirrhosis is reversible if it's mild or moderate is that the same thing as mild to moderate fibrosis? Thanks.

In 2022 I had a fibro scan that showed a liver with very minor fibrosis. 2 days ago I had another scan that showed I had fibrosis over 63% of my liver with 10.7kpa. Not sure how such a big leap occurred but I drank moderately during that time. Today is the first day of the rest of my life so we'll have to see where this takes me. As a side note, the first scan had some faults in it but apparently not enough to get the gastroenterologist to re-order the scan....hmm...

I am a brand new dad and we have another on the way. I was diagnosed with ESLD or NASH, or Decompensated Cirrhosis of the Liver in September of 2024. I don’t trust my doctors or our healthcare system. i just got diagnosed with primary biliary cherosis. I have never been a drinker, have no idea what to do! Some say carnivore and some say stay away from red meat!

I had a fibroscan, and they told me I have stage 3 NAFL. Severe scarring 1 stage away from cirrhosis. I am terrified and desperate for answers. I am 36yrs old, considered obsese, I don't have a gullbladder and I looking for help! I am drinking apple cidar vinegar and lemon, eating a healthy diet. I've eliminated as much toxins in my foods and home and household and personal hygiene products. Googling things and they say Mediterranean diet is the best for reversal but I keep seeing the keto diet from others.... someone please help!

Thank you so much Dr Berg. Was diagnosed with hepatitis B in 2012 after symptoms of stomach swollen and pain and vomiting and was treated with medications. Ignored it for 13 years due to lack of knowledge on the illness until pain got me real bad on my right shoulder to which I googled and learned thats caused by liver damage. Went for blood test after severe chest pains and general body weakness and I am still hepatitis b positive. Ive cut my sugar intake and carbs and I am having vegies, little ginger, garlic, lemon water and avocador without salt. Felt quite well for the previous weeks but now I feel pains on my chest towards my left side. PNG health facilities arent up to the standards. Its only researching thats keeping me trying to fit myself into recovery. However, I'm yet to go for scanning but when, where and how is the problem. Appreciate what you do as it gives me hope.
