I'm sure the tS trim is great but the only way to get one is to order brand new which takes forever and has a bunch of extra fees associated. You'll probably end up paying nearly $40k for a tS after fees. Better off buying a used limited trim BRZ with low miles for $29k and just upgrade the brakes and suspension on your own. Definitely go BRZ over the GR86 entirely because Toyota dealerships are upcharging anywhere from $4k to $6k over the BRZ. Which is enough to cover your brakes and suspension upgrade on a Limited BRZ. I would definitely get at least a Limited trim because the $2.5K difference is definitely worth the upgrades from the Premium trim.

ОтветитьIt’s not just calipers it’s larger pads and rotors as well. Also the dampers are NOT SACHS, they are Hitachi. The Trueno 86 will have Sachs dampers, the brz Ts will have hitachi dampers
ОтветитьGood review my dude. I've liked the BRZ since it's first introduction in the Subaru line up and this 2024 BRZ TS is gorgeous. The BRZ has less HP/TRQ in comparison to the '24 WRX but the BRZ weighs in at 2846lbs and the '24 WRX weighs in at 3430lbs. So that weight difference of almost 600lbs should make up for the difference in HP/TRQ. I might have to copp one of these Subaru BRZ TS models to add to my collection.

ОтветитьI just bought my brz 1 year ago. And I got to say after a year of modding the only thing I wish I got was the brembos though not really because I’ve upgraded to AP Racing calipers so it really would have just saved me some money. One thing I do wonder is the stiffened the rear sway bar.

ОтветитьIf you people want fast get a used Mustang GT or if you like something new an Ecoboost for similar price for BRZ/GR86. Stop trying to turn this car into something else. Its fine the way it is.
Not everyone is obssessed with speed or wants to race. You can tell because these things are still flying off the shelves with or without markups, MT or AT it doesnt matter people are buying these. I never see one last more than a week in the dealership.
If this car goes any faster somehow the price will go up then it has to compete with more cars in that class and price range. So far the only thing competing with the twins and what it should only be compared to is the Miata. Maybe a used Porsche at that price range.
When the second gen BRZ launched for the first time, it should have interiors with blue stripes & stitchings. Then when the tS version comes, it will have the red stripes & stitchings. Don’t you think? 🤔🤔

ОтветитьThe only question is how much will it be (in Canada) and what interest rate and it better not have dealer markups. Any of that is too high, they can keep it no matter how good it is.
The more I looked into switching cars to something newer, the more I realized I have to wait for a price crash. Looks like it's already happening in the US; Canada is usually a bit behind the US trends.
I'm not going to give them money I don't feel belongs to them at all, the OEMs and sales people. I'll keep my 500 hp C7 A6 with Bilstein B16s (makes the car amazing). I've been fixing and improving that instead and it's so much cheaper. I'll just wait until prices crash back to normal. Clearly that's likely where it's heading.
The only thing I hate with Subaru is that they almost never put extra power in special editions, or even generations, they took away the STI, the hatch in NA, added awful CVTs to most models, they added all the plastic and the plastic diaper to the WRX, and all sorts of other things that feel anti car enthusiasts.
I used to have a 13 WRX STI I modded quite a bit. Then sold it when they showed the new WRX concept back then, and it looked amazing. Then it came out and looked like a mid Toyota. Only the new one looks a bit like that if you squint hard, at dusk, from far away.
