I would have immediately had her vehicle towed.

I “love it” when people who speak only English make fun of anyone for accented English. I have heard many for whom English a second language speak it better than native speakers. And anyone’s English is better than any of my limited second languages. I can, however, order a meal or at least a beer in many different languages. Priorities, right? 😂🤣😂

I don't buy the first story. Hotels are all about making money. Front desk clerks are given some leeway if the hotel's not at capacity or if something bad has effected a guest's stay, but getting a free upgrade for no reason is not gonna happen, especially if the hotel is at or close to capacity. What rooms are booked are in the system. What else that will be in the system is the booking info and the rate paid. That clerk would then have to explain why people who booked a room at half the rate now got a free upgrade to a room that probably was double the price.

and that's why Americans are despised and being kicked out of any foreign country they visit!

Do some people really wonder why. Let this happen go on for weeks. Parking on your property destroying it. Why do they tolerate it instead of just having it towed to begin with. What kind of patients or doormat DNA do you got to have?

Last story.. i could see that coming. You want to touch a cop.... offer a handshake with a thank you for your service, any other way likely to end up with bracelets that no one likes.. except this Karen

1st story: Retired trucker. I learned very early on in my driving career that you catch W-A-Y more flies with honey than you do with vinegar. I made it a habit to always smile at the shipping or receiving clerks and always tried to make them smile. Just little quips that tended to leave them in a better mood than when I first stepped up to their desk/window. Clerk: "How are you, sir?" Me: "I'm fine, but I'll get over it." I had a small repertoire of little jokes like that. It almost always worked. I can't count the number of times the place would be packed with ten or more drivers waiting for an open dock door, but I'd get told to pull in immediately. I found that if you try to make someone else's day just a tiny bit easier, they tend to appreciate it. And often, that appreciation would save me hours of waiting.

SIDE NOTE: IF YOUR PARKING ON MY GRASS AND WHEN I GO TO ADDRESS THE SITUATION YOU JUST ROLL YOUR EYES AT ME OR IGNORE ME I'M NOT GOING TO BE NICE LIKE THE OP IN THIS STORY AND GIVE YOU ONE TWO THREE FOUR HOWEVER MANY CHANCES THEY DECIDED TO GIVE.... The last story wouldn't have gotten that far. The first time that "Ms. Karen," parked on my lawn I would have had towed and towed every time she did. Each time that she parked and have her towed I would have been on the phone to fill a report with police.

SUV on the Lawn Story: If I was OP, the moment Karen parked on my Lawn, I'd call the Police to have her car Ticketed for Illegal Parking and then Towed at Karen's expense, then I'd have Karen herself Arrested for Criminal Trespassing, Vandalism and Destruction of Property...

If she does it a second time, I'd call the Police again and then a Lawyer to Sue her for Trespassing, Harassment, Vandalism and Destruction of Property...

Check-in story: It's amazing what check-in staff can do for you when you're polite and caring to them.

Computer policy story: Long past time to leave some scathing reviews and file complaints with corporate.

Grass vs parking story: Truthfully, after the first time Karen ignored you about her parking, you should have gone to the HOA (provided they were actually good at the job) to complain and get her fined. And maybe even called for a tow truck.

story # 2 - i have all the business ethics of a big eared ferenghi - once $$ changes hands - there is LESS THAN absolutely no refunds....and if the customer DOES NOT like it...the customer can kiss the employees ass

Mate had a problem with lawn parking years ago, there's a storm pond behind his place that he's allowed to pump water from for garden use.
so we pumped the lawn all morning and waited for her to come back at lunch time and park on his lawn while she got her lunch. the little car bogged straight and when she got out her office power heels went straight in as well
we phoned the police and she ended up having to pay for all the damage caused by her car !

I'm surprised that that HOA wasn't down Karen's throat about her driveway after the 1st day. Also if there was HOA date a Facebook page she would have complained about it and everybody would have known what was going on and then the hoa president probably would have said just tow it.
I just get it towed every time to make stop right after getting cameras up.

I love how these companies, like the store in the next to last story, have meeting after meeting after meeting but nothin ever changes. Reminds me of my last job. Same thing. Meetings 24/7 while everyone was at the office but no changes were ever made. Just wasting time havin useless meetings.
