These headphones are smarter than me lol

Sony only offers a 1 Year Warranty for these headphones, and after only a little over a year the microphone began interfering with the noise canceling, causing a loud wail/whine sound. This is an unfortunately common problem.

Warranty periods shouldn't be overlooked when doing these reviews. If a company has confidence in the build their product, they would provide a longer warranty.

Does anyone know if you can use the cable to plug into guitar amps to play electric guitar quietly?

Does the sound leak?

I still wonder why everyone treats these like godhood. They have muffled sound, mediocre build quality, and way too shallow earcups for a lot people.

Can I make these loud as for a PC?

just wanted to add that the battery on these are amazing!!!......I only use these for air travel, after my last air travel 3 months ago, I had charged it not used it at all. I turned it on after 3 months for my next travel, battery was 100%........I had two legs of flight, 4+15 hours, had them on the entire time with noise cancelling on, the battery lasted the entire time!!!........also during my flight, a passenger opened overhead bin above me and dropped a small bag on my head!!.....the cushioning of the headset on top saved me from a concussion lol

Hey everyone, I am looking for an allrounder, which means an over-ear headset for listening music (especially when travelling) and for gaming (especially singleplayer on PS5). I have looked up the Sennheiser Momentum 4 Wireless, the BOSE QC45, the Sony WH-1000XM5 and also the Sony WH-1000XM4. It seems like I really like the older one from Sony (XM4) but I am not sure if this is still a good choice 3 years after release? If not, can you recommend something else?

The only drwback that this headphone actually has is its name 😂

Tip for using speak to chat more efficently: By holding the right earcup with two fingers it will activate/disactivate "speak to chat"

Do I need something to pair it to my computer? Do I need to buy an extra or something to add. I tried to add the computer with the cable but than it lost the link to the mobile.

They are great, but after only 1 year of use, a very fucking loud screech almost blow up my eardrums. I need to use them with the noise cancelling turned off since then, because that screeching always returns. Im actually surprised that sony does not adress that, cause a lot of people had the same problem.

How well do they block out noise for the people on the other line?

Ive had these headphones for a few months now, honestly theyre pretty good but they do have some flaws despite this premium price.The battery could be better, i often charge it every day or every second day, the connection is very slow, it takes 6-7 seconds for the headphones to connect and actually play the audio, the controls could be faster as i dont need to hear audio guide to know what setting im using, generally the anc is awesome even though it doesnt cancell car noises that well, maybe the xm5 has these issues fixed

Working this whole summer to afford one. Maybe a gaming rig as well. Who knows.

No they don't sound "incredible".. average at best. Honestly, the sony WI C 200 sound on par with these (the eq when turned off on XM4 is even shittier, but I set a custom eq that is slightly better than their wireless headphones that are literally 20x cheaper). Noise cancelling is the best though. All the other features work fine. Not worth it if you want quality sound.

They basically do what the AirPods Max do. Switching from device to device.

I regret buying these headphones. They tend to turn off in the middle of me watching a video or listening to music, they automatically switch to another device in the middle of me listening to music or watching a video, the sound keeps cutting off every few minutes. They're so damn annoying.

I just want to say that I really like these headphones. After using them for months, I don't regret buying them!! The battery life is what I'm most impressed about. 👌

This was SUPER helpful. I just bought a pair of these and had absolutely no clue what I was getting myself into except quality headphones. My sister has the xm3’s and I was impressed. But after seeing this video review I’m super glad I went with the xm4’s. Thanks man!

The device breaks down 1 month after the warranty expires.

How do they compared audio quality wise compared to the bowers and wilkins px7?

It's worth noting that if youre using the LDAC bluetooth codec the headphones will not be able to multi-pair.
