I have Edifier s880DB and using it with optical connection. They don't have subout. Can I DIY a subout port or any other output to make use of my active subwoofer, which has high level inputs and rca inputs.

I'm a bit late to the party and very new to the hobby. What are you using to separate your pc audio into passive left and right channels? I'm drowning in a sea of Hifi options.

I wonder how many people built these... Having to turn up the volume or adjust a low/mid/high frequency separately on each driver and each speaker is where this build lost me ... but still love your guys' channels!! ;)

Enjoyed your video. The link to the Lepa LP210PA doesn't work though. I'd like to build an 8" subwoofer using the cross over... what kit is reasonable, under say $100.

Fair to say minus the tweeter and these can be done at a considerably less price! You should contact parts express and ask them to add this to the diy knock down build$.... Plz

Great video!! How do you think these would hold up next to the hivi 3.1 diy kit?? I built a pair a couple years ago and LOVE them!! Looking for something to replace my desktop speakers and thought these would be a good fit

Great video. I was always under the impression that the sub driver needs to be separated (if only by a sealed wall in the enclosure) from the mid drivers or the mids will suffer from the air pressure. This build seems to debunk that theory.

For these, do the subs need to be pointed forward? Or could they be mounted on the sides?

I just spent 1hour googling 536 questions google. And checking endless specifications on speaker after speaker after speaker no articles about magnets in STUDIO speakers. Which capture ACCURATE sound. U know, like reality or our ears do.
No1 cares about magnets in STUDIO speaker forums either. Zero data on magnets.
All I wanted 2know is type of magnet most used in studio (STUDIO) speakers.
Absolutely no specs I could find on any speaker dared breathed the word "magnet."
Question. I have a a BOSS guitar amp with 2 huge speakersa butted together. Wont this cause degaussing (wear out thmagnets over time?)
I certainly didnt watch this video either. Why would i?
That would be like sending yr kid 2store buy an ingredient &when he asks which1 just say u know, the one in the ingrdients section. There needs 2b no mention,,,

Nick, I have few questions about DINAS build plans I bought on 18 Dec 2021.

1) I managed to find speaker box made of plywood/MDF with 12cm or 15cm thickness from Taobao online with dimension of 12.6" x 7.87" x 9.8" (HxWxD) compare to build plans dimension of 12.5"x7.5"x10" is it okay to use it for DINAS or it has to be exact as build plans to get the expected result?
Any different to use 15cm thickness for the flat pack instead of 12cm in term of box resonance at low frequency?
Taobao online speaker box slot port design might be different but I could fabricate it myself with the hand tool.

2) There is 0.68uF capacitor connected to external tweeter in series and then parallel to the Mid range speaker in reverse polarity, what is the reason of reverse polarity connection on tweeter? Same question on Woofer speaker reverse polarity as well.

3) why not connect tweeter and capacitor in series onto (R) channel directly instead of parallel to Full range speaker on (L) channel since there are two channels available?

Thks&Rdgs,

Foon

Do you know if it would be possible to build a set like you have here, but that allows for multiple line inputs (especially some balanced TRS, that would be great), and mixes all inputs? I have multiple computers/devices I want to play through a single sound system, but without toggling between them. I have a system that works right now, but it's a bit janky.

Can we plan it using tpa3116 D2 and get the same low frequency ? As it would save some bucks.

I really like this video need more of these so you all will have to build a floor standing model next! Or a set of towers! Maybe 2 6.5 inch woofers and radiators lol but yea I really appreciate this vid it's inspired me to build a set myself... I wanted to ask you if these speakers you built, if they could have been even better with a different woofer? I like tang band their speakers are really beefy and seem to be reliable I've not owned but a couple and I didn't have them long. I was just thinking if it would have been any better if you would have went with a real sub not saying that isn't one but I'm talking like a sundown audio 6 or something in the neighborhood I guess the enclosure would have had to be quiet a bit bigger but I really enjoyed this thank you for taking the time to explain things in detail
