Apple has a history of bad luck at the box office from Napoleon to Argyle flopping even harder. I’m not quite sure about F1 because let’s face it, not every movie can reach a billion dollars and F1 isn’t going to be one of them because I don’t know what the budget is for the movie because you’re taking a risk against summer movie tentpoles.

Just saw Bloodlines and laughed so much. It was hilarious! The guy next to me had clearly brought his girlfriend on a date and while he was cracking up, she spent a lot of time with her face in her hands, long after kills were over - I felt for her! Not for everyone...

In my opinion I think a Sinners 2 would not be a good idea. I am tired of Hollywood green lighting sequels to great movies just because they did well at the box office, trying to repeat the same "thunder." Warner Bros. might be pressuring Ryan Coogler to make a movie that he very much does not want to make.

Man you are sleeping on Lilo and Stitch you should at least check out the original. I think it’s Disney’s last great hand drawn animation film. Tons of heart, morbidly funny, great voice acting performances, and a fantastic score by Alan Silvestri. And of course Elvis Presley.

Superman is not going to be a billion $ movie. There's definitely some superhero fatigue and this looks like the same Superman story we've seen several times before but with some small details added like Krypto. I don't see it even making as much as The Batman. Probably will be in the $500-600M range

The girl ends up tying The Weeknd to the hotel bed and it turns into a Misery ripoff. I like the team involved, but very rough movie.

My wife and I saw this today (Sunday). We liked it and had fun watching it. It's a great date movie. I am excited about Superman. I am going to watch it at the IMAX. I wouldn't do that if I didn't believe in it. I hope it does not disappoint.

What a great weekend! I make it a point to see new releases on Tuesdays or Wednesday nights now (an experiment I’m trying this year) but I would have loved to support one of my all time favorite franchises… oh well I’ll just have to wait till Wednesday. I’m also rooting for wb (and universal to some extent) James and the Disney haters have been right all along, their brands suck now. There was An article published in the Wall st Journal (5/2/25) that pretty much confirmed what we knew all along about the mcu; brand is over saturated due to the streaming wars, they’re trying to correct course and gearing to make a comeback with Doomsday. Based on the Russo brothers work outside the mcu I am very curious to see what it’s going to be like; a shitshow? Or a genuine comeback?

The hate re: 'Ironheart' is coordinated. It's the same playbook that is now standard regarding "DEI"/"woke" media. Especially if it's Disney though not exclusively so. It's the MAGA/white nationalist/Incel crowd and that's not even that difficult to uncover.

Myself, I thought the trailer made the show look interesting and prior to that I was not that interested (I haven't really cared for most of the Disney+ shows). I'll check out an ep. or two, if it's good I'll watch it.

So far, they’ve kept all the secrets to this story from getting spoiled. The budget was roughly $75M which is doable to either break even or make a few coins profit.

I couldn’t agree with the host of this video more. Superman should be calm, cool, collected and confident. He should be responding to Lois Lane’s questions in a very charismatic and affirming way. Rather than an upset challenged child. He is Superman not only because of his strength,, but because of his moral empathetic convictions. To me, George Reeves was my favorite Clark Kent. Smart, clever, confident, charismatic, and smooth. George Reeves Superman was a little sarcastic and humorous. And always knew where he stood in every situation. Nothing that Lois Lane or anyone else could do,, can move him from the super being that he was. Although James Gunn has done amazing work. I trust that he will make a great film. But so far his superman is looking like a Simp & Very un super. But I’m sure the film will be great with him behind the camera.

Disney has a major problem. They have a squeaky clean sterile image. That they are trying to maintain. But it handicaps them in a number of different ways. Not to mention the interweaving of certain political issues as far as gender in their films. Emasculating masculine characters. Over masculine feminine characters in the marvel movies. Has proven to cripple the company. Not to mention, upsetting the core marvel comic book fans. Because Disney will not stick to the origins of these characters. I’m all for diversity. In fact, I’m a black man. So it’s wonderful to see strong, black men and women on the big screen. By having strong, black men and women characters,, may upset a certain faction of our society. So they neutered the black male characters. And escalate the over, emasculated, black female characters. Making the Black male characters look like Sims is a major turn off,, to the black audience. But maybe that’s part of the reason why Blade has not been made yet. Marvel has made a number of films,, since they announced a new blade movie. But Disney seems to be confused. How do they make a black lead character,, that is strong and powerful. A black man that is a king and has his own country. Filled with beautiful strong, technologically, advanced black citizens. Not controlled by European manipulators. How does Disney present such a strong, black male character,, that doesn’t offend their white audience? Like I’m sure the original Black Panther movie did. Like everyone I enjoy Marvel movies. But if they would stick to the characters in the comic books,, and their abilities. Then I think the movies would be better. There’s no need to raise swap or gender swap. Especially major beloved characters. Just write great movies,, for characters that aren’t white.
