An Amazon Machine Image (AMI) is a special type of virtual appliance that is used to create a virtual machine within the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud ("EC2"). It serves as the basic unit of deployment for services delivered using EC2.
What is AWS ELB? AWS ELB (Amazon Elastic Load Balance) helps to distribute the application traffic to various different targets such as EC2 instances. The vacant targets which are ready to collect the traffic are monitored by Amazon ELB whether they are healthy or not and the traffic is sent to the healthy one
