I did axe throwing for the first time this week, I was a natural at it, hitting bullseyes etc, the rest of my group couldn’t even get the axe to stick into the wood at all, guess I’ll be a champ soon 🤷🏻‍♂️🪓

Why are they so close? I don’t understand what the fun would be. What’s enjoyable about an axe in general is going ham with it splitting logs… I would definitely want to extend the distance and increase the intensity. I can’t see this holding much interest once the axe bars and stuff run their course. If you increase the difficulty and physicality, maybe. Heck keep this even just add more impressive categories.

I did axe throwing for the first time. It’s a lot of fun. I got a few bullseyes but couldn’t hit the dots. It’s amazing these guys can hit the bullseye 🎯 on demand.

They are like 5 feet away from the target… this is pathetic.

That’s not real ax throwing, they’re definitely not lumberjacks I’ve been to quite a few lumberjack competitions and that’s not real ax throwing sorry folks.😂

I'm digging this sport. One tweak I think they should make is a scoring system similar to darts. So you don't have to hit the same target all the time.

How do you resist the urge to throw it at the crowd?

This sport could have been something so much better. I mean instead of weak throws from like ten feet away. This is why I don't watch darts. Poor excuse for a sport

I really hope these guys can do more than just throw an axe from 12 feet away… I’ve been drinking beer and throwing axes long before these “athletes” were on tv… these boys look like they haven’t ran a Wood Boss one day in their life.. just saying 🤷🏻‍♂️

David Cycon just won this year's IATF International Axe Throwing Championship. I say it person, and I'm so happy I stumbled across this to see how far he's come.

I love to do this when I’m angry and mad I love throwing axes at sir people I don’t like I take pictures of them and put them on the arrows
