I had to do this in a bedroom. It really is simple! A lot of work but simple work.
Ответитьgreat video . instant follow
ОтветитьI wouldve used my recip on the nails with a good blade, instead of prying em out, if needed hammer down anything left from the cut
ОтветитьBesides Plywood, is there any additional product that would need to go on top for a floor under a toliet; cement board, etc ?
ОтветитьAlways full pieces around the permiter than cut to fit the center. Just my opinion and the way I've always done it. Good video tho.
Ответитьtoo hard
ОтветитьThe floor of my shop has a hole near the door. Upon further inspection it's rotted all the way under the threshold. It rains a LOT here, so I'm prepared to look up some weather proofing options for around the door. Thanks to this video I feel like I can replace that sheet of flooring pretty easily and not worry about critters coming in to munch on my projects!
Right now I have metal mesh and wood covering it until I have time next weekend. 😂
What type of plywood and how thick ?
ОтветитьQuestion. Is it possible for there to be sinkage, under whatever is holding up the floor joists? I see u were on the ground under the house, is it possible for the dirt under the house to sink?
ОтветитьCrawl space? John Wayne gacey has entered the chat
ОтветитьInterior flooring screws are what i would use. Have you addressed what to do if there are floorboards under tour plywood yet? Thanks for the video. Lots of good info.
ОтветитьIf people are that dumb - Your video won't help
ОтветитьIt was painful watching them pretend to have a conversation with each other, wasn't it?
Ответитьnice work
ОтветитьGood job.
ОтветитьIf you leave a small gap in between the sheets of plywood what do do with the tongue and groove?
ОтветитьIn the process of buying my first house it’s going to need a lot of work before I can live in it but I am super excited to start my new journey
Ответитьuse a grinder to cutt of the nails from the floor so much faster
Ответитьwhy did you stagger the sheets? that didn't make sense. it just creates more work and doesn't add any benefits.
ОтветитьThey're fixing a floor in FLOOR-ida.
ОтветитьI hate how fake they act
ОтветитьWhy pressure treated 2x6 for the supports?
ОтветитьMe and my wife just got a house and the sellers just put new carpet and tile over old rotten floor. So many soft spots. I never did any work like this but you gave me confidence I can do it 🤔 😂
Ответитьthank you i just found out my bathroom floor is roten and i have to replace it all and level it
ОтветитьWhy didn't you go under the outer wall or the inter walls. The old wood will rot and the house is going to have future isdues.
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьCould you not vacuumed the pieces underneath?
ОтветитьActors who are reading from a script but are trying not to sound like they are reading from a script always sound like they are reading from a script. You guys are cringe AF.
ОтветитьHopefully there isn't any mold problem, I'd definitely recommend checking and treatment if wood was rotted due to water damage.
ОтветитьGood job guys!!!!!
ОтветитьDo you ever eat the wood?
ОтветитьI have a floor that has1x6 board on the subfloor and plywood on top of the 1x6 when I start repair the floor again do I need to put the 1x6 down before I put the plywood back down.
ОтветитьSaw zaw for the nails. Deck remover tool is what I used to use
ОтветитьHow much would contractor charge to do this?
ОтветитьNo insulation?
ОтветитьGreat job...thank you
ОтветитьWhen the nails are all stood up after tearing the plywood I just flatten them
ОтветитьShe is absolutely beautiful
ОтветитьAmazing
ОтветитьI love how it hasn’t occurred to anyone to use treated sub-flooring to protect it from moisture. Every house I’ve bought (3 so far) has this issue.
ОтветитьMy house was built in 1886 dyi that...
ОтветитьWow no mask 😷 come on people
ОтветитьWhat about the old remaining subfloor underneath the bottom plates of the framing that goes around the room? Is that just left there and if so how would it be a stable foundation for the framing that sits on it?
ОтветитьMold? It’s called a form. I’m a structural engineer and I have never heard the form for any concrete called a mold.
ОтветитьWish I had seen this before we had are landlord hire someone to do the work, because they did a bad job. The floor is so unleaval. They didn't have any idle what they were doing.
ОтветитьNo installation
ОтветитьThe only incorrect statement I heard was the comment about seasonal movement. Plywood and OSB are most commonly used in floor construction and both are engineered products made of many layers bound with adhesives under pressure. They are both very stable and don’t experience seasonal movement.
If it did have seasonal movement, gluing to the floor joists would cause the subfloor to buckle and split from the seasons like my oak dining room table.
