ОтветитьIrfaan khan 😂
ОтветитьLove From India❤️🇮🇳🎥
ОтветитьHas @StudioBinder created a hero's journey structure video?
ОтветитьExcellent. Keep going
ОтветитьHa… another white person doing what she can to show white people in a superior and domineering light. And, using Black people to solidify that idealism, which, by the way, is the farthest from the truth.
ОтветитьFunny, how all of the scenes that you show to make a point with that have a black person in them, the black person is always cowering behind a white person… when the whole world knows, and especially those who have been in combat, that it is actually the other way around. NOTE: That in the military, a large percentage of the drill instructors are black… now why do you suppose the military see’s the benefit in that?
ОтветитьIm not a screenwriter or filmmaker. I'm just a regular ol' author and artist, but this channel has been such a huge help in my writing process :) love you guys
ОтветитьAmazing!🥰
ОтветитьMy clients are loving how i write the scripts using the three act structure and that's because of you guys
ОтветитьWould consider last part as elimination, where either problem gets eliminated or the main character of the story
ОтветитьI have a weird distaste for the three act structure. It was too numerical for me, too algorithmic. Not natural in the way writing is truly made. I really should give it another chance.
Idk if I'm just getting smarter coming into adulthood, or videos on this subject are getting better. Or, if it's your channel which is good. You explained it in a way that felt less mechanical, explaining precisely why the beats go in the order they do and how this compliments the story. I was thinking about how important it was to have a hook like that at the start of Jurassic Park. The first half of the film is very light hearted, and without that there, audiences in the first act will be sitting there not quite aware of the tone they should be expecting
Forgot to mentioned Who Created the Third act Structure, Wasn't Invented in Hollywood, It was started by Aristotle.
ОтветитьI think a great movie is when the story keeps you guessing and the filmmaking doesn't look aged.
ОтветитьI don’t understand why this is so revered.
ОтветитьThe point about a three act structure not being limiting is really brought home in a movie like Parasite, where the midpoint is a seemingly complete change of direction and tone. The first half of the movie establishes character and theme and puts our "heroes" on a particular path. All of that is then tested and perfected by the discovery of the secret room and what happens after that. The thematic structure of the film is entirely consistent throughout, however.
ОтветитьThanks Again Bhai x
ОтветитьThank you for your work! Amazing!
ОтветитьJurassic Park is all about preducing. Allan dosen't wanna to have kids but Laura Dern wants to. Allan gets to know those kids and starts to like them. In the end he sees pelicans from the helicopter window. Life will find a way
ОтветитьForget about three act structure, plot points, rising action and other dubious terms — write something evoking emotion that would make a reader take notice.
ОтветитьThis was incredibly helpful. I am writing a stage play right now. I had the general idea but now I have a clear picture of how each scene will play out. Thank you!
ОтветитьThis is the structure I think has helped me the most, and your explanation has helped even more!
ОтветитьYour videos are beyond well-done, but what I truly adore is the value the videos might add to the creator community. So many artists are publishing their creations without the knowledge which refines their products. Man we all need to stay educated and keep raising our bars. You are offering tools to possibly prevent a major cultural backslide as far as media is concerned. You are appreciated and thank you!
ОтветитьThank you for this lecture. The most detailed explanation on YT so far.
ОтветитьGreat informative video.
ОтветитьWhat if you don't want to hide your gift in a box like everyone else. You just want to have them close their eyes and walk outside where every one can clearly see the Maserati is wrapped with a red bow ribbon.
ОтветитьThe amount of nostalgia in this video made me have a whole 90s baby cryfeat; Jurassic Park is my favorite movie of all time and made me become a freelance paleontologist and unlocked all of my inner drama
Where did the time go for us 90s kids? lol omg my heart
The best 3 act structures are the ones where act 1 and act 3 could be swapped and the story is still strong and vibrant. Only the very brave story tellers do this swap. Sadly all to often it's the second act that lets down act 1 and 3.
ОтветитьWow! I am a writer and Im constantly looking for ways to improve my writing and your channel is really one of the few that is absolutely amazing. So much quality content! Thank you!
ОтветитьThis video is perfect!
ОтветитьWant listen, but AI voice.
Can’t see someone (real) talking? Trust out the window, no matter how interesting it may be.
Leave and block.
Salute to the script writer of this video
ОтветитьPlease, does this work for books too?
ОтветитьThank you for sharing this. It clarifies a lot. 🙏🙂
ОтветитьThank you K.M Weiland for the thoughtful clarity WITH examples. Very helpful. In my journey to write about a catastrophic event that occurred 20years ago, I've listened to many 'how to' video's on writing a novel (and inextricably linked screen writing skills). Frustrated that I've been kicking-the-can-down-the-road for so long...too emotionally charged, not understanding the way to write, daily grind of pay-the-bills-that-kill, discipline...WTFK's?! Regardless, now I do understand that, yes, it is a story that I must write for me, that I need to make it 'readable' and interesting (vs incoherent rant), and the 3 ACT framework with sub-elements is a relief because it allows me to take all those details, some very emotionally charged and some just unique to the time/location, and structure my story pieces. I also find that the heavy burden to produce a grim chronological record of the event has been lifted and I'm free to use core elements that matter in a way that can be a good read...hopefully finished & PUBLISHED will exorcise the demons 🥹
ОтветитьI'm a pantser. To me this sounds and looks like "how to make writing a story as boring and as brain deadening as possible".
Ответитьgive only one movie example.what that movie gives sence? if you give example of one movie then people will know 1,2,3point.
ОтветитьSuperb
ОтветитьPersonally, I call the Midpoint the "Moment of Perspective", since it's when the character's perspective is shattered, I call the Dark Night of the Soul the "Moment of Soul", since it's the moment when the character is often forced to reflect upon themselves, and I call the Climax the "Moment of Truth", since it's the moment when the protagonist is forced to prove that they've changed, and their victory or failure hinges upon that change.
Ответитьvery clear and crisp 👍
ОтветитьThis is SO good. Thank you for putting the time into bringing such insightful content 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
ОтветитьPerfect explanation and a demonstration with perfect examples that we all are familiar with 👏
ОтветитьBrilliant use of the 3 act structure in this video ❤ "A dream within a dream, Mr. Cobb."
ОтветитьGood one.
ОтветитьGreat explanation of the 3 act structure.
Also showing the plot points of a comedy and a straight drama would have helped more however.
Phenomenal explanations. Thank you cannot begin to explain how thaknful I am about information, but thank you anyways.
ОтветитьAmerican Gangster has a beautiful midpoint with the picture taken of Frank Lucas at the boxing match and later the burning of the coat.
