Casino 1995 - Nicky Santoro's Death 4K HDR

This scene has at least 20 seconds of the beating cut out of it when compared to the theatrical version. A version that I haven't been able to find since Channel 4 (UK) aired it in the late 90's.

Notice how in this cut, Pesci's nose is bleeding for no appaerent reason before he gets beat up. This is because he was punched in the face by Anthony to keep him down in the other version. The head splitting is zoomed in almost out of focus whereas it wasn't like that in the OG version. Pesci spends alot more time in his Y fronts in that version getting beaten black and blue before they roll him into the hole.

It actually turned my stomach at the time it was so graphic.

I guess the censors wanted it ripped up.

If anykne knows anything more about this, i'd love to hear it.

Joe’s character was a literal demon in this movie so I always found this scene satisfying not heartbreaking.

Disturbing how Nicky is narrating this in his head which the viewers assume he’ll live but then his narration stops when they start beating him and his brother to death.

The only way this scene could have been any better is if one of them started to beat Nicky with a shine box.

The only way to survive in the mafia is to make yourself unexpendable. Like Sam did, in the end, Sam could still bet on numbers, and continually earn for the bosses. Tommy, just didn't do that.
