It had been a long time since I had thought of building my own house. Your design is great! Smart, good taste. I am Frenchy guy living in the South West of France with my little family and here it is almost impossible to realize such a dream 'cause of French urban codes/administration. But seeing your project come out of the ground with so much enthusiasm, with so much architectural quality, so much love I tell myself that I too can do it with my wife and get around the super heavy French administration and ALL the good hard work... Love your home most of all loved watching you guys build the place from ground up Josh and Erin, Ellie and the boys always there to help care for the animals, great home and great land to roam around in. Home Schooled but if home schooled how do they make friends when they start puberty. Josh and Erin something to think about once the children get older. Till then peace will you allow them to go to a school, if they want.

Today I just viewed your 1st time lapsed video of the two of you + your 1st child working together to build this A frame house and I was truly amazed at how your wife was right there at your side working as hard as you were through out this DIY construction project and my compliments to your construction design both exterior and interior - allot of love you both have for one another comes out in these videos that you have shared with us - HGTV should run a special on this - you both are a inspiration to all that are fortunate to have had the opportunity to watch these videos - you have a beautiful home and beautiful family and you have so much to be proud of - it reminds me of watching a TV show called "Little House on Prairie" - thanks for sharing your story

I started watching this vlog when you guys first built the house. For some reason, I stopped watching about a year ago...and today, I watched this house tour! I am so, so impressed with how everything turned out! It has become such a beautiful, special home and you guys are so lucky to live in such a home that you, yourself built! Those lights are my favourite, and those big, glass windows!

Been following your build since the beginning and you all did a fantastic job! My wife Eileen and I are just entering our 60’s and we have been self doer’s and self sufficient all our lives. The knowledge, self satisfaction, fun, and closeness we have experienced is precious. Now we spend our time with 10 wonderful grandchildren and 2 children who live just a few miles away…….sharing our stories and knowledge with them……enjoying the fruits of all our hard work we now get to enjoy.
