i did this on my imac and it worked but on my MacBook I cant get further then trying to install cask. any tips? i did exactly as the video said.

brew install cask didn't work for me. And that was after a long home-brew install. I think that it might not work the same on Silicon Macs.

Hi, is there a way possibly using Console or Terminal to look up the Name of the Hard Drive of the file that is in that hard drive? Basically, I accidentally overwrote my secondary storing drive that stores all my docs and files for my main drive. So, if I open up an app in my main drive, it seeks that file on my secondary storing drive. Now that secondary drive was overwritten, it gave that hard drive another name. I forgot the name of that secondary drive that files are not able to be found, as it needs the original name of that secondary drive to link the files. Is there a log file that would show a past link and the name of the drive that it was opened up in? I hope what I'm sharing makes sense and look forward to your reply.

using top I notice My uptime is over 30 days and im running over 800 tasks. Also the winowserver is using 46% cpu. Please help.

This shit right here is why I just ordered a mac. Long time PC user, started to dabble in Linux for the last couple years. Played on my friend's macbook and realized the similarities between the two. I fell in to nerd heaven trying to find all the stuff I can mess with. I'm excited for it to come in now.

2021 update: "Your tutorial is outdated. cask is no longer a brew command. When you want to install a Cask, you just do brew install or brew install --cask instead of brew cask install"

Its a little different using it on zsh opposed to bash but im getting it

I have a 50mbit/sec download connection at my house, and "xcode-select --install" is telling me it takes more than 18 days to complete the download?! 😢 Just did a speed test as well just to confirm my connection is working properly (it is)

as I need 2015 mac os or higher to run it what can I do in terminal to fix
that and also imove as accidentally deleted them both and cant get them
from the app store as mac to old
