As a young woman I want to say thank you for making this video. I can't even tell you how 1.annoying 2.revolting and 3.disheartening and honestly depressing it is to realize that most men I viewed as older father figures, or even suitable guys my age to date whom I really loved were actually just perverting the dynamic and objectifying me in a sexual manner, even my own father. 

I struggled with trusting any men and still dread about falling in love with a guy who may very well be addicted and develop all these kinks from constant exposure....I mean, thats where fetishes come from, long-term exposure and association to sex. I watched porn for a few years and really noticed that all of a sudden I was into things I wasn't into before, and viewed everything in a sexual way because I was literally conditioning my brain that way. After I stopped and also went celibate for years (this made a huge diff), things got healthier.

i think we have to talk more about our feelings, even as men. I've been trough some stuff but right know i probably feel the best i've ever felt in a long time/ my life and i think its largely because of talking about the things i've done or the things that have happend to me and realising that i need to try and understand emotions, be able to control them but also be open about them.
I agree with most of the video but i dont agree that whole emotions thing is feminin, its human, all of us need this or like you said we end up like wounded kids on the inside looking for validation and healing.
theres different ways to go about this but journalling and meditation, like mentionned, is something all of us can do. it might be really uncomfortable in the beginning and that means its doing something.

I was watching this Ted Talk by Eli Nash about an hour ago about breaking the addiction to pornography and he said something along the lines of vulnerability of one person can allow others to be vulnerable as well. I have been battling this addiction since about 10 years old and I'm currently 19. One day I wan't to be the type of person to be honest even about all my skeletons in the closet, because If I'm doing better then I'll have nothing to hide, right? My dad also told me he suffers from porn addiction as well and it was one of the factors in ruining his relationship with my mom along with other things. May your father rest in peace and whatever you take from his life whether good or bad use it as an example/ blueprint to mold yourself into the type of man you want to be. Hopefully we can all do the same. Blessings to you all.

My dad wasn't in my life until I was 10 when I started to visit him because he was clean for a few years. He ended up going back to drugs after a year and doing some other things in the process that kinda ruined my trust and fucked me up for a bit. I started smoking weed at 12 and porn was another easy addiction that started soon after that. My relationships have definitely suffered as a result, I have friends and could go out a few times a week if I wanted too but I just have no motivation.

My Pop's was a Vietnam vet, that was on the infamous opioid for most of my life. He and my Mother was together until he past. It is also a vice I believe to lean on a spouse so tough that if they are tired of the drug use or whatever feeling involved are want there own release, then possible suicide is the outcome. I'm not sure if my Dad did intentionally OD, but I think he loved my Mom so much that when she wanted to leave, he was totally lost.
