I typically love sony. But this sensor has a very slow read out speed. There's no Internal Raw like the new panasonic S1 ii And It's even more expensive than a lot of the competition which have more modern features. I will say that besides the read out speed. This image does look really nice. Sharp and high dynamic range.. And the autofocus and other Sony innovations help make it a stand out.

Everything right except the slow sensor. Having APSC crop for 4K60 for a video camera launched in 2025.... Sigh

I can hear the clattering of the keyboards of sad Sony soy boys across the lands clamoring to explain to us all why subpar rolling shutter, 4k 60fps crop, lack of internal raw, lack of external full frame raw, and lack of 32 bit float audio in 2025 for $3k is actually a good thing

What's the point of the FX30 if this is new cinema entry camera? I don't get the Sony strategy, very confusing.

junk camera from spare parts, which nobody wanted, uninspiring corporate frankenstein. Sony, do you really think because of fx3 is popular thanks to a7siii sensor, you can try to sneak in old slow sensor into fx line and that will help you get rid of this sensor from your stock pile? Because some beginner filmmakers will buy it by accident? Nope. Open gate, internal ND, you know what do. People are not idiots.

Outdated compared to the competition.
Crappy viewfinder, even worse display, slow chip, not full RAW.
Lags behind Panasonic S1II or Nikon Z6III. And again, overpriced. Sony is declining and doesn't realize it?

Sony is wasting its time.
A full-frame camera at this high price point that only shoots 4K 60fps in crop mode? You might as well make it an APS-C sensor — it would make more sense and perform better that way.
Anyone paying this much expects far more than this.

How do you expect people to use the tiltable evf with the dji mic 2 receiver or any other mi hot shoe mic? This is such a design flaw.

This is what happen when your CEO got too greedy.

Sony .. Love the EVF but you can design better not to protrude exceed the LCD. Your design team should think before do this.

I hope FX3 II you can fix the EVF design.
