By no means do I think I get the trick fully, but actually, I think I clocked on a little to his method: To start with it seemed to me a little like a tarot card reading, I.e a tarot reader and David (when asking about an important moment that knowone else would know) ask what appear to be really open questions but are actually kind of closed when you think about it. For example, David say's something like - 'This experience was with your family?' (Sounds like an epiphany and an open question) - (like how did he know that?). Actually, this is quite an obvious thing when you think about it..... Of course a really important memory of Margot's is going to be with her family that's kind of obvious! And when you think that many of the rest of the trick like a kind of tarrot card/magic amalgamation, maybe the rest of his questions or subtilty's are like that as well.
