What is your favourite watercolor hack?
ОтветитьI appreciate your video. I would like to know what paint tray and brand paint you use?
ОтветитьI’ve watched a lot of hack videos…most are nothing unique…but this is awesome. The soap on your brush when masking. I had no idea. And ironing a finished piece. Seems obvious but I never thought of it. Thx
Ответить👏👌👍👍👍👍😄Thanks
ОтветитьAnd, with magic tape you don't need to use a hair dryer.
ОтветитьMagic transparent tape works even better than masking tape. Paint doesn't bleed under it like masking tape, it comes off much smoother, and you can get it at most dollar stores.
Ответитьgreat hacks ! thanks !
ОтветитьUsing your finger to remove masking fluid also leaves grease from your skin on the paper
ОтветитьThanks lady
ОтветитьYou are amazing 🤩
ОтветитьJust buy silk tape instead... as a nurse this is all I use on my 90 yr old patient's skin because it won't tear it
ОтветитьWe don't waste water out west. Put a small container of water in the microwave and heat it. Set the bottom lid-side down and let it do its work. Please don't waste water.
ОтветитьLove the hack that saves watercolor brushes from masking fluid!
ОтветитьOh my goodness!! Your watercolor techniques are so awesome!
Ответитьgreat dahling!! 🤸🤸🙏🙌❤️
ОтветитьWhat in the world is masking fluid?
ОтветитьThis is wonderful. Thank you. I find the hot water tip works for most jars and bottles that are hard to open.
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing all these hacks specially #7! 🙌
ОтветитьThe hot water actually causes the plastic cap to expand and also increases the temperature and thus outward pressure of the contents of the ink bottle. ;) This also often helps with hard to open jars from the refrigerator.
ОтветитьI would imagine in Great Britain that you needn't worry about wasting water to make your ink bottle open. But what about in the Southwest of the United States? We are literally almost out of water. We sure can't do that here! Maybe a small amount of water in a microwave and let the jar sit for a few?

ОтветитьWatercolor paper hack: for practice, these work quite well. Buy some big sheets of poster board, it’s thick and one big sheet is under a dollar where I’m at. Wet the matte side of the board and let it dry. You want the lessen the sizing so water actually absorbs. You can wet it more times if you wish, because with one round it lifts really easily.
ОтветитьPaint hack for more flow: use a VERY tiny amount of dish or hand soap in your clean water cup, the one you activate your watercolors with. I found they give different effects, but you should make sure it’s ph neutral so it doesn’t mess up your paints. They also make the paint stain the paper more, in case you want that.
ОтветитьThe best hack for not ruined paint brushes with masking fluid is to use silicone rubber markers. These are wonderful. They look like paint brushes, can be used not just with paints (mainly acrylics or oil) but will allow the silicone to come off easily once dried. You can apply the masking fluid easily to your painting very finely if needed. It's a very versatile tool
Ответитьmil gracias por traducir al Español latino
...😚😚😚
A tool called a colour shaper is great for applying masking fluid so you don't ruin your brush, or have to clean it.
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьYour sound is just as Emma Watson
Ответить♥️👍✌🙏❤
ОтветитьIs it tru? Legit? HAHAHHAHA i'm gonna try the iron thing on my plate.
ОтветитьGreat hacks for watercolor indeed. I have used the sponge, soap, and binder clips for my landscape paintings. Definitely a great video filled with lots of fun tips.
ОтветитьWatch the water color hacks
ОтветитьVery useful video, thanks Kirsty
ОтветитьUse silicone tip brushes for masking fluid. It’s amazing, and they’re flexible so it’s easy to make details and terribly easy to remove
Use a masking fluid eraser to get it off. It’s a square made of some type of silicone rubber
Good tips
ОтветитьYou should be sticking your masking tape to your shirt multiple times before setting it to your paper. It prevents tears. Especially if you’re using hardware store masking tape. If you have artists tape you should be fine applying it directly to the paper.
ОтветитьYou still use Windsor and Newton mask? That crap is TERRIBLE. The amount of paint it lifts it’s totally unacceptable. Then there’s the smell.
Ответитьgreat tips thank you very much, have subscribed
ОтветитьWhen hot water falls on the paint bottle, the cap of the bottle expands. Then it is easy to open😇. Anyway thanks for the all the tips and tricks. 😫Im going to paint with watercolor after 2 years 😥. So these techniques are very important me. 😍🙏
ОтветитьTis better to place clean paper on board before ironing and use a non textured towel. 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊
ОтветитьWatercolor techniques. Not hacks. Helpful ideas. Thank you. Salt works only if you let your watercolor dry first. Give it a chance.
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьFantastic hacks👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🥰thanks for sharing🙏🏻🌟 you're a great artist💕
ОтветитьI love all of your hacks, definitely will try these techniques! Thank you for sharing
ОтветитьThanks so much for the tips . my favorite is the heat tool
ОтветитьAll hacks were som so helpful!! Thank you so much!!! Love your awesome works
ОтветитьI iron my watercolor paintings upside down with a damp flour sack towel on top and really steam it. Then I take the towel off and iron it a little more to get some of the moisture out. I put it between 2 layers of blotting paper and add a heavy weight. Let it stay under the weight for a day or two if it's still slightly damp. It's as flat as can be and doesn't seem to harm the painting at all.
ОтветитьYour videos make me want to try water color painting 🎨 🖼.
