I am surprised this is receiving so many positive comments, and not a single person is taking issue with the cartoonish, negative stereotyping of his muslim options, or the really horrid symbolism of burning the photos and presenting the ashes to his white choice. Was that a necessary part? Even if it came from their real life, that does not support putting something so twisted into the movie. Were all the women his parents promoted really that stereotypical? Does no one think he and his wife were pretty blind to what a slam this is?

Kumail is a terrible actor my god this movie could have been so good but kumail didn’t sell it at all. Zoe carried the film and I’m sad she had to work with such a terrible actor

I only came to know about this movie after seeing the interview video of Kingo from The Eternals, Glad I did, this movie is really good, clean, comedic and good wholesome romance and dialouges.

But the thing is Pakistanis don’t have an Indian accent

It was a good movie, but he was too old for the role. she looks much younger, I felt like she was dating her dad or something. other than that, it was cool. especially his family dynamics "you're still kicked out the family, but send us a message when you get there so we know you're okay"

Such a misogynistic film! Muslim women are not desperate, they are successful intelligent women with enough attraction to date any men they want.

I originally didn't like this guy, Kumail Nanjiani, so I nearly didn't see this (I'M NOT INTO ROM-COMS!!!) but I AM SO GLAD I SAW THIS! It was VERY FUNNY! But... more than that it was entertaining on several other levels which I won't get into - Just know this - ITS ACTUALLY REALLY GOOD!!!
