Fiskars scissors are cheap through away rubbish like most of Fiskars products

fiskars scissors are high quality for home use in my experience , the cheapo home brand supermarket scissors fall to pieces after a few months of use ( also in my experience ) , for work i use William whitely scissors , hand made and not cheap but worth every penny ;)

Here is a 9th thing you probably didn't know about fiskars scissors. For some period of time, they were making fake lefted scissors. The handles were contoured for lefties, but the blades were right handed. On true left handed scissors, the blade that goes up when you open the scissors is on the left, on right handed scissors it is on the right. I have two pairs of Fiskars Scissors that while the handles are contoured for lefties, yet the blade that goes up when you open the scissors is on the right, therefor they are fake left handed scissors.

I returned my Fiskars spring-action pinking shears. After each cut, they just wouldn't open. They were rubbish! If you read Amazon reviews, you will see other same complaints. My personal favourites come from the Italian made Klasse range. Beautiful scissors, all of them. Comfortable on the hand with sharp cutting clean edges. I have the white Fiskars scissors, not bad, but Fiskars are no match for Klasse.

I have 2 pairs for 20 years and they are still sharp as ever. No complaints here.

Bought a pair of their "recycled" for £10. Recycled out of what, I have no idea. Worst scissors ever. Seen sharper plasticine. Instantly blunted despite me keeping them "for best", so sharpened them. No sparks when sharpening. I've been a clothing machine engineer since '76 so I've sharpened the best and the worst thousands of times. Absolute rubbish, will never buy that brand again.
