Isn’t Falcone known as friend of the Wayne family?

Falcone gives a insightful pastiche about the twin hierarchies of fear and Money
All Wayne took from this is 'im going to dress up as a bat and assault ppl'

Wonder if Bruce would have turned into Batman if Carmine simply apologised and promised to punish Joe Chill.

Rich people are just as much crooks as Falcone, but he makes such a point in that Bruce has no understanding of desperation. I'd even argue he has a poor understanding of why people turn to crime after he becomes Batman.

By this scene, it was crystal clear this wasn’t anything like Tim Burton’s faux-mature take on Batman with bubblegum plotting, dialogue & character development mediocre AT BEST. We can thank this also for pushing James Bond to cut the childish gimmicks and grow some balls. Casino Royale was Bond Begins.

It's interesting how in the first movie of the trilogy all the villains had a multi-layered factor to them, like Falcone in this scene, although not being a good guy by any means, essentially giving Bruce a pep talk to avoid the hassle of having to murder him and his loved ones instead of just being full-blown psychopath.

"You think you have nothing to lose..." dons a costume to remain anonymous
"I wouldn't have a second's hesitation to blowing your head off..." trains his body to its limits
"That's power you can't buy..." uses fear to control
"You've never tasted desperate..." uses pain of parent's loss to push himself forward
"This is a world you'll never understand..." lives amongst criminals
"And you'll always fear what you don't understand..." becomes The Batman

' You've never tasted desperate ' is a great line. It acknowledges that the rich have the ability to choose what they want to taste while also saying that poverty is never on the menu.

Falcone was more subtle and seductive, like Corleone. Tom's playing him like Maroni. Meh. Not his best role or performance, but it moved the film along.

The reason I love Batman begins is because it goes further into the psychological part of Batman.

It is easy to just have the parents die and then return as Batman like Batman movies of the past but Batman begins dives more into the psychological aspect.

For example, Falcone pretty much created Batman. How? Falcone gave Bruce a reality check. Bruce hates the criminal underworld but Bruce doesn’t understand why that world is the way it is. Like Falcone said “Bruce has never tasted desperate. He grew up with everything handed to him on a silver platter.”

Bruce had no idea the hardships one goes through that would make them resort to such a life. It’s just like Raiden said back in MGRR and I quote

“What do you know of the weak? You weren’t born poor. You’ve never been hungry. You don’t know what it’s like fight, and steal, and kill just to survive!”

Despite that Falcone’s influence pretty much makes more Joe Chills, what does Bruce do? He takes Falcone’s words into account and decides to leave his riches behinds and live on the streets to experience the fear of poverty and failure and the what thrill criminals get out succeeding committing a crime.

Another psychological aspect of Batman begins is the mindset as to why Bruce refuses to kill. He wanted to kill Joe Chill. But once again Falcone help create Batman by not only making the poverty that made Chill desperate but also Falcone had his goons kill Chill at the court house. Doing so indirectly took Bruce’s chance of revenge away and it eventually made Bruce realize that by taking Chill’s life, Bruce would be the very thing he hates and would most likely make others suffer the same way he feels. That is why Bruce refuses to kill; that and what he said and I quote

“That is why it is so important… it separates us from them.”

Even though this scene is good and I love it and also Falcone would say this but not harshly to Bruce and not at all the last part since he loved nd actually respected Bruce Wayne as his own son in Batman Comic Books. that's why even when he needed his money desparately he never tried to assasinate him and take over with high officials not that would have worked, even if he tried. but instead he deicided to convince him to be on his side, he would never disrespect The Waynes in front of him ot treat him harshly. Since he Even respected The Waynes way more than he loved his own family. Also Batman Begins Is the best one in the The Dark Knight trilogy since I can actually forgive all of the innaccurate adaptation of Brruce Wayne And The Batman in it!
