Could you please explain the difference between having an Apparel Design AAS or a bachelors in fashion design? My community college offers the associates in fashion design and I am considering doing that but am scared that it will mean I am “less” than a student with a bachelors. Thank you’

I'm 16 and my family is really poor, I have never worked with fabric, I am good at art, and I draw clothes for fun, but I want to be a designer, but my parents say I'll never make it, I dont know what classes, in highschool I need, or what I should know before I apply to schools, how much money do designers get.

My daughter wants to be a Fashion designer but she's afraid that she has to compete with her future colleagues even though they'll be in the same company brand. I am a little bit confused about my own department in a fashion home. Okay I know how to cut, sew, make a dress and almost all wears. I made all my clothes. But you haven’t mentioned anything like that in a fashion home.

I left the industry in 2000 after 40 years designing couture thru to high street. This is now a different world. I wouldn’t know where to begin, and I wouldn’t want to begin.
