1/144 HGUC Zaku II F2 (Zeon and EFSF) review

Probably the best HGUC Zaku II made. Very disappointed that NO BAZOOKA... really Bandai, gonna cheap on us eh? Anyhow, I bought two Zeon F2 since I think Zakus look better in Zeon color scheme. Also bought 2 for custom shoulders. One has two spikes, one has two shields. ^_^

EFSF one kinda reminds me of White Ogre.

Oh, I agree and all, but still. Heh. He never piloted the Schuzrum either did he? And that still gets the... Quattro Vagina stickers.

Why does the Zeon have a commander's antennae?

I'd say the F2 has better proportions overall, it's supposed to be a redesign of the Zaku II but was retconned into a variant instead.

They do look better, just wondering why.

A Federation Zaku? WHAAAT???

They were captured and repainted after the war. The feddies used them for training purposes.

This is much better than the original zaku II model this one looks badass. What about the FZ though?

There is no excuse for poor articulation in a Zaku II!! The MSIA Zaku II version1 can go 360 at the waist no problem! 

Are these painted and finished with a matte spray or just lined?

Tis not a zaku MG lol It is 120mm but it's actually the MMP-78, also just as a fun fact that little under barrel is a grenade launcher. ^-^

Easily the best HG Zaku out there. The FZ really doesn't come with many accesories. No bazooka, missiles, 120 MG, or antenna but it does have sliding hips so it can sit on its bum.

So Kakarot....do you like Zaku Bazookas? I don't think you clarified it with enoguh certainty in this vid.

Wow.I just got into gunpla a bit ago and stumbled upon chars zaku(the origin movie one).I really love it.I just ordered the zaku II mass production type.And this one is going to be my next! It looks just bad ass

Hey Kakarot (and anyone else with a Zaku F2 and an Origin Zaku). If you're not using all your anti-ship rifles, the F2 can hold it in both hands pretty convincingly. The amount of posing it can do is sorta limited, but it looks pretty damn badass.

What surprises me MOST is that the origin series does not have the standard zaku II mass-production type. It sorta sucks that the line did not have it

Kakarot, can you tell me how you so cleanly inked in the thrusters at the bottom of the legs of your Zakus? Is it a wash?

The missile pod could have been secured with a slit on the inner calf, with a tab on the pod itself.

I'd argue that the heat hawk is more iconic then the 'zook, it shows up in episode one and who can forget Bernie carving up the Alex? But you're absolutely right, I'd much rather display a zaku with the bazooka than the hawk.

I'm not familiar with the story these are from is the earth federation zaku just a zaku unit captured and repurposed by the Feds or did they actually start manufacturing zaku units at some point

Is the guncannon head compatible with that zaku's body? Really wanna kit bash and create the zaku cannon that appeared in Gundam origins.

I might just buy the efsf version and pretend its one from the sun bleached squad from 08th ms team

I wish that the EFF Zaku II color scheme had been the color scheme of the EFF Hi-Zack, and that the EFF Hi-Zack's actual color scheme had been used instead for the Titans Hi-Zack color scheme.

Planning on getting this next because the head looks matching with the Efreet.

here's i planned when i bought two of them

- I'll Modded their skirt for better the leg articulation
- I Swapped their both weapon as a favor
>> both Zaku Machine Gun with M4 Stock for Federation and the MMP80 Type for Zeon
>> Heathawk only For Zeon Zaku and federation gotta use RG Type Beam Saber because the peg probably can be stored to the side skirt or zaku type hand
>> Weaponsrack that can be attached to the shield for adding some bazooka or their melee

Why is it I see two seemingly different versions of the EFSF Zaku around online? One is a very bright white and the other is a more beige tone (like in this video).

I can’t find the normal zeon one anywhere, so I’m just gonna paint the EF one green
