West Bay Roatan - Underrated Paradise

West Bay Roatan is such a great place and even if you are not staying in this area, you can get a water taxi over to the beach area for day use.

we went there in 2018 for 1400 Canadien, it's now 2200 bucks in April 2023 to boot, wich is completely redicculous. we would go back but not at that rich price no way no how!! it will be skipped from now on lol

Looks good but Honduras, the country it is a part of, is one of the most dysfunctional on the planet (and that includes violent crime). Is this place immune from the problems on the mainland? Somehow I don't think so.

Been to Roatan 4 times 3 on cruises and 1 Pré Covid we stayed at grand Roatan resort for a week and it was amazing. The people, the food the diving. Highly recommend this beautiful island…

Beautiful place

Me and the local kids were jumping off the highest point of that dock and it was so much fun. It was probably 20-30ft deep and I recommend this location to everyone.

Roton is our dream place to live! Unfortunately the cost of living there has grown so expdintially that it is no longer affordable for us. It breaks our heart we have made so many friends there on our vacations and we’re really looking forward to spending the rest of our lives there

There are always travel advisories warning against going to Honduras - corrupt cops, government, unsolved murders, especially women, and muggings. If you insist on going, stay in well-established hotels/resorts with security and preferably private beach access. Women do NOT walk alone especially at night. Yes, even in Roatan.
