Something I am hoping to see is being able to put a video as my lock screen like on Samsung s22 ultra

So tl;dw, more ugly shapes and an option to turn off ugly colours (still no option to customise them manually), but at least we are almost back to Android 4.x with lock screen customisation, just need to return the ability to place widgets instead of the default clock.

Not sure why the camera as a webcam option for pixel devices didn't get talked about. Thats fantastic since you had to deal with stupid thirdparty apps that limited resolution until you bought thr pro version

All sounds good unless the third party developers get access part, I don't know, my experience with themes and customized of a phone is always good with first party's, when third party themes got installed, they tend to working like shit and sometimes lagging and crashes.

I have Bluetooth issues with my car

For those unfamiliar with how Google usually does their updates. I've been rocking stock Android since the Nexus days (RIP) and they usually do a big update then some tweaks and refinements in between. I consider this a good update, favorite thing honestly is not having to hit enter after putting in your code lmao

I had a setting on my pixel 6 so that the screen didnt turn on automatically for notifications apart from phone calls and after i updated it, now it turns on for everything and it uses more battery life! Anyone know how to fix it?

Glad they changed the mandatory enter after PIN. Super annoying but simple fix. Google needs to look into the heating issue on these folds.

Glad I watched until the end. The only thing I cared about from this update was the separate notification volume. I assume they're still using the shitty version of split screen that they introduced back in Android 12

Ihave a good MOTOROLA that just updated with Android 13 and impressed because it was a major update but this Android 14 pixel stuff seem silly the Android 13 I just got LOL I mean come on😂😂 this was literally a update of color and font changes LOL😅😅

I was hoping for faster AA connections. It takes both of my vehicles (22 wrangler, 23 mx5) about 10 seconds to register.
I'd also like better fingerprint recognition as the one on back of phone was far superior to screen one, also it doesn't blind u in the middle of the night. I'd also like the ability to unlock based on smile (I wear sunglasses alot)
I'd also like flash option for selfies. Old phone used to brighten the border but still show selfie in center of screen.

These changes seem kinda gimmicky instead of actually practical for every day use.

So android 14 turns your pixel into a samsung!!! But without One UI6..... oh never mind 😂🤣😂🤣😂

I will probably wait for reports about bugs and battery life before upgrading..

Installed it on my Pixel 5 an hour ago. I like it, but I immediately found a few issues. First, there is no way for me to deny photos & videos permission to the Wallpaper and Style app (yes you can toggle it, but it does nothing whatsoever). Not a big deal but kinda weird since Google push the idea that they're all about giving us control.

Second, when I go to settings>sound & vibration>Now Playing and click Now Playing, it just loops and never proceeds to the menu I would see pre-update. Not too big a deal for me since I don't use it.

Third, Android System Intelligence keeps crashing. Slightly bigger deal perhaps... :/

I can live with it while I wait for the above to improve but maybe others would appreciate the warning.

I wish Google enhanced the headphone controls and added a bass/treble boost to aftermarket earphones... I had a OnePlus 7Pro and it had it as well as an equalizer for any brand of earphones, yet Google has none, and earphones sound flat.

This definitely doesnt seem like anything to get excited for. I was excited when I saw the notification for the update, but it feels basically the same.

Does Messages organization finally work again with this OS version? If anyone knows how to get that working again, I'm all ears.

I wish every phone had a 'fast flashlight' feature. My old SG A50 has a feature where you can double tap the power button to activate the flashlight but my new Pixel 6a doesn't have anything like it, I had to download an app that lets me shake to activate. With the new lock screen shortcuts it should make it a bit easier, but still not as easy as just simply tapping a button twice. It's such a tiiiny, tiiny, tiny little nitpick/inconvenience, but I use the flashlight quite often so the less I gotta do to get to it, the better.

Very annoying I have to throw my Pixel 4a away adding to the massive waste we already have in the world after 3 years of use and it still is working perfectly. Google you suck big time.

I don't know what people were expecting with this update. The update is not going to turn your phone into a brand new phone. Like calm down people.

I don't get the deep lockscreen customization when actually not using the AOD. What's the use?

I was expending an update for Pixel Fold : Where we can take picture of a person with rear cameras letting them showing the viewfinder on the outer screen as well , so they can know how there pics are going to be taken.....

Just install it a few minutes ago.
To be honest, I can't tell the difference straight away.
Look quite similar to 13.
Just little minor changes.

The flash notification is not a new feature android 12 & 13 both have that. Also you can already unlock your phone with out hitting the enter key. That came out in android 12. And android 12 had the own slidder for both the notifications volume and the ringer volume
