Love the “Natural Selection” reference! Nicely done.
ОтветитьHello 74Gear. I truly love airplanes, but, I am a very scared FLYER! I am scared when the airplane start to run, specially during take off.
ОтветитьWhy would there be a public beach that close to the runway?
ОтветитьUsed the runway instead of not using the runway gone by.
ОтветитьThe camera man never dies
ОтветитьCameraman never dies, that's the reason behind these videos 😂
Ответить"Its important for me to address what is making me smile in this shot, Its the girl in the bikini"
ОтветитьMy private instructor always emphasized to use every bit of the runway- at least in the small planes! Definitely good advice here in Maine with some of the short runways with obstacles at the ends.
ОтветитьLOL, "Natural Selection", now that's funny. Does it apply to crazy driver's on our roads?
Ответить"I've eanten birds before."
How did they taste?
Pilots Kelsey and others who fly in and out of DFW: Titled: They Couldn’t Go Too Low in the Mid-70s
Long time ago when DFW Airport was near completion my High School friends and I would have parties out in the country fields down by what I think may currently be Runway 31 L. Could be wrong about location. It would have been the first runway opened for use. At that time there was only one runway in use.
This clip reminds me of the great times we would have back in the mid 1970s at the end of a runway watching DFW being born. It was such a thrill to have a jet come in over our heads like seen in the clip! Loved it! Some of the kids couldn’t take it, thinking the planes might accidentally run over them. No worries unless a security guard caught wind that we were out there. Nighttime. It was so flat we could get in our cars and zoom out. LOL.
Back then there was almost nothing nearby but a few storage warehouses for building equipment and a fire house. (Now it is completely city.) Probably the jets landing there at that time were bringing supplies, big wigs and people who worked on the facility.
So next time you fly there and look down at the houses, hotels and waterways of Los Colinas know that some kids from Irving had a fabulous bit of parties down there when it was wild, back in the day. 🦫
Thank you, Pilot Kelsey, for the interesting stories!!
PAPI lights at all airports?
ОтветитьAt SFO or other airports have you had to perform a SLAM DUNK APPROACH?
ASIANA 773 Crash @SFO was requested by ATC do a SLAM DUNK APPROACH. The PIC was not familiar with it, but incorrect Performance settings and setup plus the slam dunk high sync rate approach was a resulting factor.
Ive mentioned rhe military version thar looks spectacular called the SARAJEVO APPROACH. Where UN Turboprops mainly A400s and H130s had to avoid anti-aircraft Guns by doing a Steep and fast sync rate to avoid getting hit.
Is this Slam Dunk approach that the 773 at sfo needed to do, a standard practiced approach you prepare and practice for in the 744F and 748F?
Question: what is the slope of the runway, and are the pilots using ground effect?
ОтветитьRegarding the last clip, you're so right regarding the prop... When I did my skydiving license, there was the following question on the test: "You're accidentally landing on the wrong side of the runway and need to cross while a plane is taking off. Who has the right of way?" For the laughs we'd always say: "The one with the food blender on the front."
Ответитьthis is almost like Nice France airport with the short take off runway to the mediterannean 😉
ОтветитьCamera men never dies
ОтветитьI flew with Whizz air, once, awful airline.
ОтветитьWhy is no one commenting on the idiots standing at the end of the runway. This is Darwinism in action.
ОтветитьSint-Maarten too!
ОтветитьAll landings are like that at Skiathos, its the same for all aircraft.
ОтветитьWhen you first showed this, and I saw the runway I sort of knew that this was perhaps an exception as it had to be a very short runway (in comparison to many that are say 10,000-12,000 ft at many airports) and that a low approach like that was necessary. My guess though is that the airport runway was probably there first before the beach or whatever that was, ended up there.
ОтветитьGreece?!
ОтветитьWe are heading back to Skiathos in September and love to see the planes come in. Last time on take off our pilot said "Time to blow some hats off" just before power up
ОтветитьWhy planes do not have any Mirrors next to the Cockpit to see whats behind them?
Ответитьbro i've been trying to figure out why i think this guy looks familiar when he is talking and i finally found it. he looks like barney's mother from how i met your mother.
Ответить.."they will not snitch on themselves, but they most definitely will snitch on you!'lol💚💛love it! Keep doing what you're doing Kelsey
ОтветитьTo the window, To the wall, ...
Ответитьpilot gave them what they wanted , A CLOSE ENCOUNTER , at 15 ft. fill the heat from those engines ???
ОтветитьFodder for a Darwin award.
ОтветитьGood afternoon. I’ve got hooked on your channel and can look into the future. At the end of 2023 you will get another stripe on your shoulder. Have you seen Alain de Cadenet almost get his head taken off by a spitfire flown by Ray Hanna? It’s worth watching. Keep up the good work 🌞
ОтветитьPilots should never behave like these ones; those are airplanes NOT National Hot Rod Association dragsters. Even in general aviation the planes do have takeoff profiles just like the airliners, its does have wider fault tolerances to help train good habits in new pilot, not for pretending you're flying a F-14 and even the military has "rules" regarding those, so yeah no buzzing the tower, Maverick.
ОтветитьDarwin, I love it!!
ОтветитьHabe you eaten BALD SEAGULLS before?? 😂😂😂😂
Ответить*confused GPWS sounds
ОтветитьThinking someone is lucky they didn't get sucked into a jet engine.😮
ОтветитьTrust me I've flown with former Navy and Air Force pilots and they still think they're military jets😅 Top Gun😅
ОтветитьIt's so dumb to stand directly in the path of planes taking off or landing. A short distance offside will be safer, and still provide great views and videos. Accidents really do happen.
Ответитьso tired of this same video over 10 years....
Ответитьdude can we take a sec to appreciate the invention of the airplane and the engineering evolved in modern aircraft
ОтветитьIn that last sequence, it was a stunt like this that put Piper out of business. A Piper Cub took off where the airport manager parked his truck across the runway to prevent that takeoff. The Cub hit the truck, tumbled and killed the pilot. The jury found PIPER at fault for designing a tailwheel airplane and not having shoulder harnesses...no kidding. You can lookup Cleveland vs. Piper
ОтветитьSkiathos is the Sint Maarten of Europe
ОтветитьAeroSucre would have had gear stowed by the time it got over the beach.

NATURAL SELECTION! HA! LOVE IT!
Natural selection is the difference between receiving a Darwin Award nomination and the Award itself!
Hilarious Kel!
