Twisted Sister - Stay Hungry (Live 1984) (FULL CONCERT)

Fucking AJ was so beast. They're all great players, but for me... AJ gave them musical (live performance) credibility. He was the core of their live performances. Back then I was brutally hard on drummers and even then found nothing lacking in his playing.

I remember going through the rock magazines and taping pictures of Twisted Sister and KISS on my book covers in school. And drawing the iconic TS logo on everything.

I was a lucky person from Eastern Europe who had the chance to see this gig on MTV in 84, I was 15 and since then my opinion have not changed, they were one of the best live heavy metal bands on stage. And btw when they tell you they were a glam metal band, then listen to songs like Stay Hungry. It`s pure heavy metal

One of the tightest bands ever on stage. I love hearing them live.

(Actually they had JUST been sued for profanity at some show they did where parents objected, so at the Greensboro show they were swearing their asses off in defiance of the court action...it was HILARIOUS)

Still laugh at how Dee Snider along with Frank Zappa and , yes, John Denver (God rest their souls) made complete fools of Tipper Gore and the PMRC, Tipper forgot about the old saying "Never judge a book by it's cover"

Jay is using prerecorded solos. You can tell easily during burn in hell and SMF. In SMF he realized he did it and turned around. I noticed this as a kid too but never wanted to admit it to myself. Either that or someone backstage is playing them.

So intense! Saw them at Hammersmith Odeon on the Come out and Play tour and for many years they held the title of shortest gig I'd ever seen (until Linking Park came along). Still loved them though. Saw them supporting Alice many years later and they still kicked arse. RIP AJP.

This isn't the full concert. Most of it is there, but a few parts are missing. Most notably in S.M.F. The intro was a bit longer, he told the audience what the letters meant and had them chant the full words during the time he had them Chanting S.M.F. I used to have this on VHS when it came out.

Those of us that were around at the time remember this video the way it was originally released. Dee has really turned into a bitch in his old age.
