I was a T-38 IP in the early 90’s and never stopped amazing me how the US government would give me a supersonic jet to fly around in it. When I wasn’t teaching I would take a jet for the weekend and fly from base to base in order to maintain currency. Those were the days!

This is why USAF pilots are the best in the world………………………. Constant training with advanced weaponry in realistic settings/scenarios.

I was a site commander on an SAM/AAA site on the EW ranges attached to Nellis. We used to see pilots from every branch from every allied country around the world.

Not even a close 2nd.

we really love and respect a pilot. driving job, easy thing. A pilot must be able to control and control the aircraft under any conditions. A pilot is not enough just to be able to fly an airplane. they also know how to act in an emergency. either due to machine damage or due to enemy attacks

If I had it to do over again I’d have actually studied in school and gone to flight school in the Air Force . Although the f16 has always been my second favorite plane, as bad ass as flying it would be, I’d have to fly my ALL TIME FAVORITE, THE A-10 WARTHOG!!!
