Nice to see another Rollei user. They are such a wonderful camera and the quality of imagery is stunning. I actually have two of them and always have one in my bag in case I see something on the way home from work along with a Leica M3. I saw some of your infant work.. very nice and using a Rollei's is such an important piece of equipment to capture your subject done in glorious film. I think with digital cameras is so easy to loose track of your images because you can shoot so many. depending on the way you file your negs, you can call up a particular frame so much easier. Keep up the great work and keep using film. It's like a fine oil or water color painting.. pure art.

Nice video, but you really need to wear a microphone when you record these. The volume level on this video is terribly low.

Great overview. Thanks for sharing your knowledge. I just inherited a 2.8D and excited to start making images with it.

I just bought my first Rolleicord and I hope like you I will upgrade to the Rolleiflex someday :) I can’t wait to get it and get it serviced for operation again.

You asked her to look at the top lens but the subject should look at the bottom lens. That is the lens that is taking the shot.

Nice vid, thanks. I have two Rolleicords I haven't used in years. They need CLA and are dim. A CLA can cost $600 plus $300 for a new screen so that's on the back burner.

Hi KIm,
The first I want to to say is that you are not using “close-up Filters” but “close -up lenses”.
I know you are just demonstrating the camera but you seem to handle it pretty roughly to me !! They are tough camera but I still believe in handling them more gently and you will avoid repairs altogether.
You use the top magnifier lens as that is nice..you should. But like most people I see here you are forgetting the one in the back. As a Rolleiflex user for 50 years or more I can tell you “TRY IT’ and you’l love it. The image is reversed but that is not a problem at all. You will find that as the top is clicked in it will provide shade and you will be focusing faster and accurately in no time at all. I used this in conjonction with the open finder for quick action like wedding s and such. People think that they have to look through the ground glass for viewing always but that is not true. Experiment and you will be rewarded.
