Terrible show

Problem with Danny Rand poor visual effects on hand reminds me of Star Girl on WB, fight scenes were rushed not showing his company properly, also we should have seen an update of the costume in a tracksuit being knife and water proof, too slow in pace also could have shown more of Kun-Lun needed two more episodes to explore and explain, improved in Defenders yet not enough character can be brought back just improve the story and fight scenes.

Iron fist struggling against that one bodyguard ward hired and HE even had to use the iron fist on his brass knuckles and Still lost, meanwhile danny in comics casually fights a whole army of ninjas and soldiers with just his skills and acrobatics on the side of building.

One of the major problems was that they nuked the character. He went from a master of the martial arts and overpowered iron fists to a mediocre martial artist, who can only use the iron fist occasionally and after too much concentration to do so.

Honestly I loved the show

Terrible writing. The fact that Danny can’t fight…at all is hilariously bad. It’s like a long episode of teenage mutant ninja turtles.

I kind of like Finn Jones and the reason why his fight scenes were sub par was that Netflix gave him 3 weeks to prepare to rush production. Finn is a good actor and I think Danny improved so much throughout Defenders, Iron Fist season 2 and especially that episode in Luke Cage season 2. I loved Luke and Danny’s friendship in that episode. Now that Daredevil is coming back to the MCU I think it would be awesome if instead of recasting Luke and Danny they just make a Heroes for Hire show with Mike and Finn. I think those two characters work much better together as in two separate solo shows. As for Coleen I think if they just made a Daughters of the Dragon show with Coleen and Misty Knight teaming up. I really wanna see the Defenders reunite in the MCU cause I absolutely loved the chemistry there more so than the story. Jessica and Matt were awesome together and Luke and Danny worked so well off each other. I don’t wanna see them recast.

Lol I was trying to decide if I should invest in watching this series, as the "concept" intrigued me.

Though after watching this video it more or less told me that I'm going to be left disappointed.

There's something to be said about the frequency of the White savior character in film and tv.
But I dont think the series is bad because the point is that Danny Rand trying to recover something that was lost because of The Hand and hes using power to do good in the corporate and as a master fighter.
He is flawed (and the fight scenes needs work).
I think the series is strong on characters evolution and shocking reveals.

Ultimate alliance 2 is the best adaptation of Iron fist. The animations for his powers are fucking perfect in the game

The show failed because they tried to turn Danny Rand into a traumatized man who is simultaneously a zen buddhist martial superhero who when he's fully in control of his emotions and thoughts can summon an iron fist.

the stores only sucked because one reason alone...we saw just a weak limited version of Ironfist only a handful of times the whole time and the fights sucked! plain and simple

Hey at least Disney and Marvel gave Shang-Chi his own movie and that turned out really good.

I'm a little late for this - just finished the first season, and yes, while Danny Rand himself and his continuous juvenile behaviour seems to be the weak spot of the show, I really enjoyed the plot development and performances of all the Meachums - these ones were wonderfully cast.

Iron Fist was poorly written full of bad acting. Finn is particularly awful. He whispers every line and makes stupid faces throughout. You can see him trying so hard to act from start to finish. The only highlight is Jessica Henwick

The show made me hate Danny, he was a whiny man child, and the fight scenes were just awful, there was a scene when gao sends special forces to the dojo and they all of them wearing full armour got took out with some measley weak ass punches, so unrealistic

I enjoyed it overall but Punisher is by far the best marvel Netflix series.

It's so hypocritical that everyone complains about "whitewashing", but changing captain marvel's gender and making the little mermaid black instead of white are fine. Hypocrisy all around. Drink up everyone.

I think that you have misused the cultural apropriation stance. First of all the ironfist is a white male named Danny Rand. In the original comic this isnwho he is. What seems to be your problem and everyone else trying to change the character’s origin. This is how he was created. There is nothing wrong with his character. If you want to make your own origin story, fine. Dont minimize and cannibilize the character for your own ends.
