Did use de-chlorine to remove chlorine from the water? It wasn’t mentioned.
ОтветитьKeep coming back to refresh myself. Thanks Mike.
ОтветитьNever add bristle nose plecos. They are plant killers. Great glass cleaners, but I have a really hard time keeping them away from most plants.
ОтветитьWill have to remember the lava rock idea.
ОтветитьI have to add sand? 😢
ОтветитьI’ve been to Monterrey, that’s not what the sand looks like. Great video though.
ОтветитьI have been watching dirted tank videos for days and I wish I had seen this one a long time ago. It has been most helpful. The only thing I would change is you sift and we the soil before putting it in. It helps keep air bubbles out. I also squeezed out the excess water before placing it in the bottom. It really it’s down any cloudy seepage issues with the dirt. I’m using your lava rock trick. You just got a follower. Awesome job!
ОтветитьGreat Tank.. Love the set up👍
ОтветитьI love the way u explain
ОтветитьIf using organic soil is it fine for fish that like to shift the substrate ?
ОтветитьI'm glad I found your helpful channel and subscribed today. 👍❗️beautiful lookin tank.
Ответитьnice one
ОтветитьI’m trying to do a planted aquarium but every time I add water all the seeds and everything move around how do I keep them in one spot
ОтветитьPlease slowly when you speak oufffff.
Its difficult for understand..😉
I’m a complete beginner, setting up a tank for 2 goldfish and want to put in some plants for them… I’ve now heard differing opinions on using soil (obviously always organic) please help!
I was thinking of putting a layer of something underneath the gravel to help the plants roots.
My son won these fish at a fair yesterday and they don’t even have a filter in the small tank they’re in and I only have the one I’m trying to set up now which I literally just bought second hand, going to the shops later so please any advice anyone can give me would be really appreciated!
Looks 👍
ОтветитьSo what do y’all do if it gets super cloudy/muddy
ОтветитьDo you use a carbon filter or just a sponge filter
ОтветитьYou should put a pair of black angels in there
ОтветитьI love this so much 💗
ОтветитьLove it!!❣
ОтветитьWhere do you get the lava rocks from and the sand?
ОтветитьDo you recall where you got your course sand? I’m trying to find something similar. I liked the look and think it would look good in my river setup I’m doing with driftwood in my 75gallon.
ОтветитьHmmm why would you need to add ammonia when the soil is leaching it. This is the reason you can’t add fish 🐠 right away because the soil leaches ammonia
ОтветитьIt’s literally easier to just say that you’ve never gotten laid before bro
ОтветитьWhere do you get your plants
ОтветитьCan I plant Hemianthas Cuba or Monte Carlo on this method and then grow it on top ??? Please answer ...
Ответить“Hine sight is 2020 right?”
ОтветитьWhat is size?
ОтветитьI want to use only an inch of vermicompost as the base capped with two inches of sand. Will it be safe to add the compost directly or do I need to soak it in water for a day or two to remove the excess nutrients?
ОтветитьPlease answer me the soil and the sand on top is that safe for fish mainly native like bluegill and largemouth bass
ОтветитьHow often should we change the water? I just started a planted tank and I’m scared algae will take over. No fish yet.
ОтветитьIs there a reason for adding the remaining plants after the first few days of water changing?
ОтветитьEeek! I put too much water on my soil and now it's too wet. How can I remove some without making a huge mess? Aaaa
ОтветитьThank you for telling me that the tubrid water was normal! I saw so many videos with crystal clear water, I thought I was doing something wrong
ОтветитьNever knew you could put organic garden soil to Aquariums. I thought the soil had to be Aquarium specific, like Amazon soil etc eyc
Ответить@AQUAPROS. Where do you get your java ferns???
ОтветитьI want the hills so bad but I might have to move a couple times in the next year and I fear having to restart.
ОтветитьU have no problems with air pockets because u use sand which weighs down dirt. Most of us only use gravel which is has more surface area n does not hold down dirt as well as just sand
ОтветитьGood video mate you explain things well. If you had added more fine sand in the mix and made it an inch deeper that tank would run for years without hardly any water changes or maintenance. Well done 😎
ОтветитьHey,do you need to add a top layer on soil? I want to grow a dwarf grass carpet. But I'm having trouble, the soil meged with the watet
ОтветитьWhen did yammynoob get a fish tank?
ОтветитьCan I use perlite into the aquarium?
ОтветитьDo you just use tap water?
ОтветитьBrother, could you say some tips for 2.5 feet tank like you have said in the video
ОтветитьHuge plants!!!
ОтветитьYou can use any soil right? Like for flowers like Promix and just cover it up with sand?
I have a 10 gal tank and I used a aquatic soil and a black sand however, I missed it up and I got the aquatic soil mix with my black sand. So I decided to up tiny rocks on the top to cover but there is still some tiny holes so my tank is a bet redish 🥺 and aquatic soil is expencesive so thats why I asked that question. Hoping for answers, thank you.
