Movie Trading Company throws away Genesis cases

I have emailed movie trading company's corporate offices about the issue, and they replied stating that this is NOT their overall corporate policy and that they will be going over the correct policy with each store.

gamestop has been doing it for years. still find ps2 cases and manuals and some others sometimes.

I dont have any movie trading company here.I have disc replay and video game x-change(not the exchange they cost too damn much)

well some gamestops have stopped taking in ps2 games so the other game stops get all of the ps2 games.I'd say they have hundreds of ps2 games and mostly sports game.They dont have enough room for all of those games to have cases so thats why only the $6+ games have cases.

i still seeing a lot more then sports now. even now you can find some if you look.

if they throw away the cases until there is a shortage then they will drive up any CIB games , ie Shaq Fu finally go`s up in value , CIB of course. :-)

Hmm, I don't know. This Pabich guy seems pretty fishy. Mike and James seemes to think so too and have taken a stand on this and will remove their video as soon as some contract or whatever let them. $65,000 seems abit much to ask as well. You've got to be kidding me! How can they throw cases and manuels away! Dude, you should talk to these dudes and tell them that you'll take them of their hands because chances are you'll find games without the cases. Man....

What the fucking fuck?! First off, they are throwing out fucking history. Second of all, they are throwing away money. Games are worth more in cases. If we had those places out here, I would be doing everything in my power to prevent it because that's just bullshit.

I used to live right by The Game Chasers and had a friend that worked at this Movie Trading Co... Trust me, you're glad you haven't heard of them. They're a nightmare when it comes to retro games.

Wow, what a dumb move. I personally pass right over loose Genesis carts. They're too common to find in the case to waste money on loose ones. Some of the later cardboard box releases...mmmmmmaybe I'd buy loose, but for the most part Genesis games have to have the case at least.

I hate this. There is a mom&pop place near me that does the same thing with Genesis games. And GameStop now pulls the same shit with the DS and PSP games now. It's so damn stupid.

I got some interesting news not good news though Gamestop has been throwing out ps2 cases for a while now which people know mostly that this has been going on this has to do with that I recently went into a Gamestop and all of the used Nintendo DS cases were gone and all of the DS carts were in a glass case. I asked what was up and they told me they threw out all of their cases for the used DS games because they were taking up to much space. So now Gamestop is starting to throw out DS cases :(

Yeah I see some comments I was in my GameStop 3 weeks ago looking for chronotrigger and I'm like where's the case. They said they tjhrow out so now the manager holds them for me and I pick up once a week.

you are apparently going to the wrong movie trading Co. stores. speaking as someone who works at one the locations. we don't throw them out unless they look like total shit. 99% of the time people don't sell the games with the cases

Man about 2+years ago I bought a original Xbox Marvel Vs Capcom 2 for $60 before Uncle Sam mine you at MTCompony and after I played enough I sold it back for (pause for dramatic effect) .50 cents. I must have callable on my forehead.
