I really hope you enjoyed this video! Do you want to see me cover more scams in other countries?
ОтветитьOMG the sock scam happened to my daughter in Buenos Aires. Her phone was stolen!!! They came at her and her boyfriend like a school of piranhas with the socks in their faces as they sat at a park.
ОтветитьElementary
ОтветитьDress humble wear your backpacks at the front ..
ОтветитьThe tip I will give to gringos is ..dress humble ..don't carry valuable or flashy expensive items .undestand there's loads poor people who need to eat ..they don't steal for fun ...but to eat as we had and have the most shitty corrupted politicians that rob people ..more than the scammers than you are mentioning
ОтветитьWhy don't you point the god and positive things about my country instead
ОтветитьOk, I was born in New Jersey and lived both in New York and Jersey. People, this sounds like Manhattan on a normal day. In any case be safe and responsible
Thanks for the updates and great videos
How much was the air tickets
ОтветитьBuenos Aires has 15 million people, not 3 million. Also Palermo is not the safest area. That would be Puerto Madero. I lived in Buenos Aires for many years. And people who falls for the "sock scams" is because they are not paying attention. In any big city you have to be aware of your belongings. Pickpocketing happens in all big cities. It happens a lot in New York, Moscow, Paris, Rome. It is a matter of being careful. The areas that are crowded or very touristic are dangerous everywhere. It is where thieves go. The only real danger in the "motochorros" but you have to walk oposite to the traffic to avoid this.
ОтветитьPeople should realize that pickpocketing, motorcycle grabs are difficult operations, they require sharp skills and constant training. Plus the pay to risk ratio is low, few want to risk several years in prison for snatching a cell phone that can be sold for 200 bucks. That's why there is little street crime in BA
ОтветитьI spent a month there years ago. Rented a beautiful apt adjacent to Patio Bullrich...no problems...but stay alert.
ОтветитьThere is no pick pockets in South Korea, period. No thieves either...
ОтветитьI had my phone snatched right out of my hand in Bogotá. I had to also remind everyone, this can happen anywhere - doesn’t mean you shouldn’t visit Colombia.
ОтветитьThis video is not helpfull, talk talk to fill the video with content, it took him like 3 minutes to explain the Kleenex scam. Weak very weak
ОтветитьQue estadounidenses más johi tapu y gran so re te.
ОтветитьIt amazes me how people spend $1000 on a iphone and risk Being robbed and losing it. Iphones just attract scumbag thieves by displaying them in public. Me when I am out and about all I need my phone for is the navigation app. So I use a cheap windows nokia phone costs me all of $10 off ebay. Infact I have a couple of them incase I do lose one. I leave my more expensive phone in my hotel room in the safe
ОтветитьGood video
ОтветитьThis video is total nonsense!!! Not only does this happen all over the globe but it’s worst in New York
ОтветитьWestern Union will give you a lower rate than the "blue rate", it is still the best option only if you don't have cash and need to transfer it from your foreign bank account.
Otherwise, it is better to know a local who can recommend you an exchange.
Not churros, chorros.
Churros is the snack lol
A guy tried to steal my phone while I was standing on the street corner in bogota. Thankfully I was holding it very tight
ОтветитьIf you leave your phone on the table anywhere, you deserve to get robbed
ОтветитьWhy would you leave a phone on a table on a public street. Would you leave $1000 cash outside on a table whilst you have a coffee? Thanks for the tips, alot of it seems like common sense to me.
ОтветитьI thought uber is illegal there ? Safe to use 'em !?💜🥁🐉🎤🎶✈️🇦🇷💞
Ответить"Motochurros" 🤣🤣🤣 It;s motochOrros, dude!
ОтветитьI used to live in Argentina. Much like the rest of Latin America, the thieves on motos are the biggest thing to watch out for. The problem is, if they are clumsy in their grabs they can potentially injure the victim (especially if they are grabbing for a backpack, shoulder bag or purse).
I had more problems with people trying to rip me off in purchasing transactions than I did with thieves, however, my local friends could not believe that I had never been mugged in my life, so it is a problem. That being said, overall it’s a safe country. Petty theft isn’t what a tourist should really fear.
As an argentinian who travel a lot yo Buenos Aires, i'm gonna teach you a trick that criminals use for pick pocketing. Its called "grupín" (litle group in lunfardo). In public transport one of they group sellos chocolates or other sweets for a ridicule price, but i'm fact si distracting You and another persone trake your wallet or your phone while You are distracted. A third one took te wallet from the second and the three gets out of they vehicle with a collection of stolen goods.
ОтветитьBA is a scam. Always. Hang on to your wallet and sanity
ОтветитьDid u just said 3 million people in buenos aires ,it's actually over 15 million people lol
ОтветитьI'm from Dallas Texas I was there for nine days in Recoleta I went to san telmo, Palermo,Puerto Madero and I never once felt unsafe! Now walking through downtown Dallas that's a different story
ОтветитьThank you for the good information 😊
ОтветитьMoney changers are definitely not a scam, however it pays to shop around. There is plenty of competition , so it’s easy.
ОтветитьThe mustard scam I’ve heard is quite common in parts of BA
ОтветитьFirst of all population of Buenos Aires is close to 16 million and not 3 million
ОтветитьIf You only had one iota of what you are talking about. After what, five weeks in Buenos Aires? You had ABSOLUTELY no Idea of the city, and the size of many things, including good people, and pick-pockets. Such a shallow overview. Bad reportage, and ignorance of the Real Buenos Aires...
And now, you take yourself to another country, for more Swiss cheese advice.
Do you happen to have any tips on what phone service to get if you will be there for 6 months?
ОтветитьSounds like San Francisco my friend.
ОтветитьStupid video. These things happen in all major cities. People do not listen to this guy.
ОтветитьWhat about the phone that will shock you.
ОтветитьEsos consejos me parece se aplica a toda mi hermosa América Latina, hay q estar águila!!
ОтветитьPeople constantly yell cambio because just by looking at your face and clothes from a distance they know you´re a foreigner and that you probably don´t have a clue that the black market exchange rate gives you almost twice as many pesos for your dollars.
ОтветитьThis guy goes to countries to say how he get robbed by thieves. What a loser
ОтветитьYes, take a pic of your bill serial number at least the big denomination, the scam works like this. You pay for x service taxi, local street food, etc, so you give them the money and they already have fake denomination ready to swap, at this point they tell you gave them a fake bill, so they give you the fake and keep the real one and for tourists is easy since one they don't know the local currency and two they exited, distracted and what not. But if u take a pic you can ask then show me your bills because I took a photo of the bill I gave you and I am calling the police. This will resolve the issue. Btw great info on your blog. I my self live in tx now but I grew up in Banfield Buenos Aires.
Ответить😱 u r in Argentina 🇦🇷 & didn’t talk about the dinner & tango & the delicious avoidable meat 🥩 😱😱😱
ОтветитьRecoleta, NOT palermo
ОтветитьAre all the scamers males or, females also participating? How safe Rental houses, condos or Apartments are?
ОтветитьVery Helpful & thanks for being fair to Argentine & the travellers. I was planing to visit there. You did great job of talking the ups & down of beautiful Argentine. Pls, keep in mind the economic hardship in any country cause poeple to change from good citizen to you know what. Even in some developed country you would experience pick pocketing.
ОтветитьIn the video literally everyone walking holding their phones 😂
ОтветитьI wish was so easy to get someone to sell u narcotics here..
Ответить
