ILASA 11th year Literary Program

On behalf of ILASA Dr Rekha Rajvanshi would like to thank you all, who joined us in our literary event. Honored to have our Consul General of India in Sydney Mr Manish Gupta, Mrs Nimeesha Gupta, Hornsby Mayor Hon Phillip Ruddock, MP Hon Julia Finn, Deputy Mayor Parramatta Sameer Pandey, Clr Reena Jethi, Clr Sreeni Pillamarri, and other community organisations’ patrons.
Thanks our audience for joining us and encouraging writers.
The program started with Dr Tanima Banerjee’s performance was inspired by Noble Prize recipient RN Tagore.
Three books were launched by the dignitaries present - Nupur J Jaiswal, Vivek Asri’s book Dastak, Dr Shailja Chaturvedi’s book-Global Citizens of India, and Harmohan Walia jis book Phalsafa-E-Zindagi, who joined us on zoom. CEO CMRC Melissa Montiero’s journey was very insightful and I agree with her on looking at the positive side of Mumbai too.
Mrs Nimeesha Gupta (our Consul General’s wife) recited a beautiful poem in Hindi.
Avijit Sarkar received ILASA’s Lifetime Achievement Award 2022, two talented young ladies - Clr Charishma Kaliyanda and Karishma Bhojwani received Dr Manu Mukta Manav awards, which were sent by shri Ram Nivas Manav ji from India.
Audience enjoyed award winning Shayar Nafas Ambalvi jis Shayri.
Suryashree Puntambekar’s award winning performance touched everyone’s heart. Taufeeq Ahmed Sheikh, Suryashree Puntambekar, Pankaj Upadhayay, Nisar Sirguroh and Anu Shivaram received Hindi Diwas competition awards.
Gaurav’s poetry and singing was appreciated by all. Our talented emcees Mrinal Sharma and Shipra Tewani did an excellent job, thank you.
