Reviewing Oilers vs Panthers Game Five

Very rangers vs hurricanes series to me

GM7 would be amazing to see. Both teams make for fantastic under the radar champion.

I don't really care who wins this series, but boy do I wanna see Corey Perry lose another Stanley Cup Final so badly.

The Panthers came into these Finals with the wrong attitude - they expected to win this, probably easily too. Edmonton has now said a big eff you to everyone who doubted them, including FLA. Game 6 will be another interesting one, Edmonton fans are going to be absolutely incredible, and if the Panthers fail to close it out I really don't think they'll win Game 7

With Amazon filming a documentary of this season with the Formula 1 Drive to Survive team, the Oilers taking it to Game 7 after being the worst team in the league would be pretty epic. A Cup when would even be more incredible for the documentary.

It was specifically following some NHL superstars including McDavid, Draisaitl, and Tkatchuk... So it would just be awesome if it went to game seven.

Oilers in 7 or Panthers in 7? I think Oilers are going to take Game 6 and I think something insane is going to happen in Game 7. Do Oilers make an Epic Comeback or do Florida Panthers Win their first ever? Is this destined to go to a crazy Game 7?

I don’t want hockey guy to make a pick but if you had no choice but to pick a team to win game 6 who would it be that your convinced or 60-90% sure will get that win no matter what happens btw just want also to mention that Skinner w-L record after game 3 and 4 is 9W-0L and let’s also not Forget that the oilers this seasons had a 16 games win streak as well as an 8 one and a 5 one so I don’t know what to think

My Leafs should look at all the best players in the game who lead their teams to playoff series wins (Crosby, Ovechkin, Hedman, plus all the guys I mentioned here) and learn from them; all play solid D yet their scoring goes up in the playoffs when the going gets tough. Credit the Oilers, this season has been a weird one in Edmonton. Stupid bad start to the season that they turn around and fix the starting issues. They fall back into poor coverage in the first few games of the finals, and they seem to have found the way around that. I have no clue what is going to happen in this series and that is just fun. I wonder how much of it is on the pressure to win these guys on both teams are under. Either way there are nervous people in both camps now.

Can we trade Bobrovsky to Vancouver for Demo for a game or two? He's healed by now yes?

Being up 3-0 in a series where two evenly matched teams are playing can't be good for your psychology. In reality you can't get comfortable for a moment until you've won all 4, and even if you claim not being comfortable or complacent, you still are, more so than the opponent. Even though Florida would still have a 3-2 series lead, the discourse would be much different if EDM had won games 1 & 3 and FLA games 2, 4 and 5 for instance. I root for the Cats so I wish it had never been 3-0. Sweeps are so hard to finish for a reason, that last game is extremely difficult win against utter desperation and determination.

What I’ve noticed about Goalie Bob the last two games. The eyeholes are not cut his goalie mask…Main reason Oilers are up 13-4 last two games…

I thought game 5 would be the toughest game for Edmonton to win, they believe now, the pressure is on Florida, there is no way Edmonton loses game 6 at home in the mad house that is going to be Rogers place, especially if Edmonton gets a quick goal. If Edmonton wins game 6 they will have all the momentum and Florida and particularly Bob is going to crumble.

Florida had their chance and couldn't close it out, Bob is playing like a mortal again and Edmonton is going to complete to comeback.

As a Panthers fan I'm honestly kinda happy to see a series now. That fourth win is so hard to get, and I'm just happy to see Edmonton proving themselves with numbers now and that they're not just pretty puck players like New York was.

Gotta say, I think Edmonton has this series. I know Florida is still up, and could come out and dominate game 6, but with Edmonton having the momentum right now, I think they got this!! They've shown in these playoffs that they're hard to beat when they've got momentum.
