This is kind of movie you may like or dislike, but you can't forget it once you watch it.

The film does get traumatic, but at least the soundtrack absolutely slaps

I just watched Climax 2 times back to back while being completely fucked on k and I think it’s my new favorite movie lolol

I think the part where they’re are dancing what almost seems like a set routine in the beginning, feels like they are in control, and that if they are free-styling, they are connected and moving with each other. When they are in the free-styling circle, they aren’t using a set dance, but are in control of their movements and what they want to do. The scenes on the dance floor after the drink gets spiked tho, feels like no one is in control of their own minds, and are acting on their impulses and irrational decisions.

Yeah I don't think I have ever felt more anxiety while watching a movie then when I watched Climax.

I just felt incredibly bored through out the entire movie, maybe because I probably couldn't understand what exactly this movie was going for. Irreversible on the other hand, was definitely Noe's best work for me.

I watched Enter the Void once two years ago. It's one of the most unsettling movies I've ever seen. Made me feel disturbed for quite a while. It's like a foreboding feeling, like an anxiety inducing one.

as someone who used to take LSD, the anxiety captured in this film is so accurate. I watched it for the first time and got goosebumps and wondered at times; man can this movie end this is traumatic LOL

Irreversible traumatised me but I think the opportunity to work with this film director is a good chance to actors and actresses to show their talent.

The title might have been true if not for his most recent film, Vortex. The final 20 minutes of that legitimately gave me a panic attack - my toes were uncontrollably curling up, I was crying inconsolably, I struggled to catch my breath - and i basically wanted to kill myself for a week. Just the bleakest outlook on life and legacy and nothing i could really refute (Climax is the only other film of his I've seen but based on his reputation he's known for an unbelievable level of depravity in his films which can feel unrealistic and a little juvenile - and I think this holds true of Climax at least - but Vortex was all too real) so it was incredibly sobering. It's a masterful film but one i struggle to recommend.

Funny, out of so many movies this one doesn't feel like a panic attack to me... The crazy party atmosphere is somehow even.. warm and cozy, yeah.
I think Noe's secret ingredient is deep compassion, with which he depicts mad dances of human psyche...

it really captured the paranoia and mob mentality from a bad acid trip

People pretend its ambiguous, but it is absolutely crystal clear who spiked the bowl when its over. The question at the end isn't "who" but "why?"
