I don't care how it looks. I just want to know what NO ONE talks about: thermals and power consumption (and consequent noise levels too). Honestly I just keep amassing PS5 games, new, when they hit around 30 USD. In the meantime, I got a Switch lite, and ever since I got a Steam Deck, its my only gaming console now. Plugged it to a JSAUX RGB backplate, a RGB JSAUX hub and connected via Bluetooth to a Spiderman 2 Dual Sense, and its all I could ever want. I think I will wait for the Pro. I have waited 3 years already anyway.

I have no interest in a slim or pro. Especially if it has a detachable disk drive. When i pay for a console, at 700$+ Canadian, i expect to own the full console. Not half of it. I get they are doing a slim to possibly reduce costs and make it more accessible to consumers, but this move supports digital media and thats something i will never get behind. A pro i feel wont justify the price or upgrade either as the current model already does so much very well. Sony can f*ck right off and stick their 8K sh*t up their a*s.

Plus we havent seen what the ps5 is truly capable of besides ratchet and clank. They need to focus on supporting current ps5 models over pushing stuff majority of people dont give a f*ck about. Next gen hasn't truly started as they are still supporting ps4 even today, besides having a few exclusives like Spiderman 2 and Wolverine coming. This generation needs to be atleast 12 to 13 years long as most of the world dont even have a ps5 yet. Sony need to slow the f*ck down!!!

I think its precisely those weird aspects of the design that make thise seem real. I don't think I've seen a faked physical piece of hardware that so realistically ugly. Who would think to fake a "slim" console and not make it slim?

Oh my god, if it was detachable, that would be so good. I feel that's such fan-made dream come true though. And it would just make it so hard to justify the 100 dollars for the disc drive that both PS and Xbox are pushing. Then again look at Switch accessories and how overprived they are from the controller adaptor or the dock and, by god, the joycons. But the design of this new PS5 would be pretty cool as it basically capitalises on all the features of the PS5 but making them sleaker and more appealing while adding a trademark of the separator in the middle that PS has had for a long time. It judt works. 😆
