1977 Linda's Simple Dreams album came out. I heard Blue Bayou on the radio driving to work. At lunch, I rushed out to buy the LP, it cost $7. I was making $3 an hour at the time.

Linda was such a mainstay in country rock music of the period. I caught her show in early 77 in Las Cruces at the New Mexico State University arena. She was absolutely great. And I love the interview by "Whispering" Bob Harris of the Old Grey Whistle Test show from British TV back in the day.

She is wonderful. I always liked her music, but within the past couple of years, I discovered I actually love it and in all probability, her. Obviously not physically as I don't know her, but she comes across as someone who you could always depend on and if she could help in any way, she would.

In another interview in, I think 1972, she said that she, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac and I think Jackson Brown were developing a new Southern CA sound known as country rock. That's the 1970s CA I remember very well. It's hard to believe Southern CA was the beginning of the country rock sound when you see how much of a ghetto🤮it has become.
