Love this video! I would also add meal prep as a tip, especially if you’re going out (not to eat) otherwise you’ll probably end up eating out do to lack of preparation - saves you money, avoids single use plastics, and it can be healthier too!

I’ve been convincing my mom to mix in mushroom with meats, my family are carnivores and love mushrooms so not only am I saving money on meat, we use half the meat we usually eat, we eat more mushroom

I live in developing country, and I think people in developed country like America, South Korea, and Japan, they look like they’re having a lot of waste. For example, Americans drink water in a plastic bottle even at their home? I even don’t buy plastic beverages while I’m out. I refill my cup. I hope people understand that we’re living in a world with limited resources. 😢 And I appreciate that you’re sharing sustainable living

There are some great ideas here. You lost me with the acetone though. That stuff stinks and is pretty toxic, particularly in high doses (which I know is not indicated here.).

I want to be more sustainable and reduce my waste but it is difficult. My question is, is being vegetarian also good for the environment? Everyone says vegan, even tho I could be vegan when I am older it doesn’t really seem like something for me. I want to be either a pescatarian or vegetarian mostly because I like eggs and yoghurt.

I started thinking more about the environment after going vegan and people kept asking me if I went vegan for the environment or the animals or health reasons lmao. I went vegan for the animals btw.

THINK ABOUT THIS... It should be obvious to you that if we stick with sustainable living habits, eventually some businesses will go out of business. Container businesses, of course, but other businesses as well. That means we will not have to boycott them in order to put them out of business. And if we sustain this progress, we will eventually see life returned to the old days when we were much wiser and healthier.

Electronic toothbrushes are for people who are too lazy to brush their teeth using their own muscles.

We can reuse the twist ties, though. If you have a local farmers market, some farms will take any twist ties, rubber bands, or bread clips you have leftover. Same with egg cartons. My mother in law takes all those things to our local farm and they give her a minor discount and reuse her items to bind less desirable food for the discount bin and reuse the egg cartons.

My local farm also makes their own pickles, sauces, salsa, jelly, and honey. So they’ll take our used glass jars and reuse them, and they’ll take plastic honey bears to wash and reuse. (EDIT)

I have a cat and I usually have to use a plastic bag to clean his litter box. Is there by chance any alternatives to this? If so I would very much appreciate it.

One thing I absolutely recommend is buying a clean paint roller tray (the ones with a ramp/slope) and fill it with cold water and put it on top of a shed roof of somewhere high they can reach, they LOVE bathing in it when it's hot, i always see a small family of birds coming to it, make sure to clean and refill the tray, though!

Soaking anything in straight vinegar for awhile can help remove labels!! I do this all the time with pickle jars!

This was a really good video miss. The editing on point. The tone of your voice. The content. The way you laid it out. Good stuff ty. It’s almost becoming a war within me to switch over to a much more sustainable lifestyle. I can’t in good conscious keep living this way. And I am feeling enriched by wanting to make these changes. I would also like to homestead in a very rural area someday so I will need to live sustainably.

As someone with disabilities I struggle to make meals to feed myself so like you’ve decided the electric toothbrush is necessary, I’ve had to decide that premade meals is just something I have to live with bc I don’t have the energy to prepare and cook a meal. I’ve moved to microfiber towels for cleaning so I no longer buy paper towels, grove cleaning concentrates for more earth and human friendly cleaning. I’m trying to slowly start doing my part. Next is buying reusable ziplock bags instead of plastic ones. And reusable shopping bags 💕 it’s not much but I’m proud of my start. I have 3 kids so convenience is always enticing, but I want to do my part in helping the planet 💕🙏🏻
