Va/tn are NOPES!!! Terrible horrible. IPS/PLS or oled are the only way, seriously! That should be a given. IPS Panels now release with Less than 1ms response so that isn't even something to think about anymore.

Gaming features like gsync etc are useful but it's HDR that I'd like to see on them all now. 1440p should be the minimum now as even that resolution been on monitors for over 15 years!

Ultra wide monitor at 2880 horizontal pixels with HDR, IPS,gsync, vrr, 60hz minimum (obviously) and I'd be very happy. Maybe soon

Alienware AW3423DWF, perhaps it came out a little after your video, £930 for a 34 inch UWQHD QD OLED, (there's a G-sync version available AW3423DW) although the DWF works better with Nvidia GPU's. Since the June 23 firmware update you now get HDR 1000 out of the box. Grey to grey response time 0.1ms black to white response time 2.2ms, a quick Google and 7 out of 8 tech reviews have this as the best gaming monitor. It also does movies, the most cinematic viewing experience and considerably cheaper than the $1300 LG IPS nano which looks terrible in comparison. If you can't stretch to an OLED then a good VA is definitely the way to go.

brightness its the worst thing to take into consideration as a positive when you review a display. the brighter the panel its not the better, most probably the opposite

hi im pretty new to this monitor stuff, and i was wondering, does this need any sort of devvice that doesnt come with the monitor? such as a pc or speakers and such, or do you just plug it and it works, ty!

I bought the Dell S3422DWG for $400. I really enjoyed the picture quality, but playing anything below 100fps is a real no-go. I can't play games locked to 60 like Skyrim without terrible ghosting making it a terrible experience, I've tried everything. Hoping I'm able to return it, I'm literally RIGHT at the 30 day mark. One HUGE disclaimer for this monitor is that you can only play modern games on it/games with unlocked framerates, even 60 is hard to manage. Also keep in mind, when your PC starts to age, you may not be able to push the same amount of frames. Considering it's a budget monitor, I doubt you'd upgrade your whole PC just to keep your monitor relevant. Just splurge on something with an IPS display with lower ghosting and official G-Sync support, it'll save you a lot of hassle.

i doubt it but do any of these have PBP? i know not many gaming monitors have that feature, and I am aware that the samsung odyssey g9 has it but well above my price range.

Picked up the Dell on deep sale; really enjoy it. Good with content in motion, and the strobing is decent.

LG monitors only comes with 1 year warranty, and that's for a good reason. Take it from someone who owns or has owned 4 LG displays and a LG Gram - they will have all have problems after 1 or 2 years. Just recently, my LG 38GN950 developed stuck pixels 3 days before my return period and I got rid of that thing like a disease. No more LG for me, ever!

Anno 2023 and i bought a LG34GN850-B by Amazon German for 605€+3 years extra warranty for 19,99€ (!!). y baby has nothing Panel problems, no pixel, very, very light BL right corner and is sooo fast, UFO test perfect. I bought a old Spyder 5 for 55€ and i will calibrate this monitor, but in the basic the collours are perfect.
An why i buy now a IPS and no one OLED ? 1300€ and more for a not perfect technic ? No, no today, possibly after, possibly nano LED.
And my MSI OPTIX MAG271CQR with VA Panel will sell...
I hope my LG will better than my english ;-)

What happened to the Asus PG35VQ? 512 FALD zones, 200hertz refresh rate, g sync ultimate, HDR1000. It’s better then the Asus you had in this video and also better than the LG that you had at #3 and I had bought mine at Micro Center for $1200 around February 2022. If availability is why it’s omitted then totally understandable but it’s definitely better than pretty much any monitor on this list and blow the doors off the LG. Rather get a used PG35VQ than anything else on here.

Bought the Dell based on this video because I thought the higher refresh rate available via HDMI would be better for my use case. Buyer beware, this monitor has absolutely horrible freesync flicker. I’m not talking about LFC flicker, I’m talking bad flicker even at high frame rates. Returning it for the LG. If you’re using freesync, stay away.

You said that Dell is G-sync certified. But I can’t find this information on dell site. So I’m thinking about Asus, it has also adaptive sync.
