Great lesson!. I got so much in a few minutes. Thanks.
ОтветитьWow I'm self taught and immediately understood what I need to work on thanks!
ОтветитьAdded bonus: my wife likes when I practice as quietly as possible!
ОтветитьMy teacher has been working with me on exactly these concepts. Good stuff!
ОтветитьI'm learning more from you than anyone else out there, thanks so much.

ОтветитьExcellent lesson. Thank you.
ОтветитьI also want alto saxophone from India
ОтветитьOh well…I wish I had watched this before buying all those mouthpieces…I thought bright sound is all about getting same mouthpieces that famous players are using. Got 5 different mouthpieces and they all pretty much sound similar…I guess I knew somehow but I was hoping the equipment makes the difference……I have picked up sax about 4 month ago so I am very much beginner. Now I know what to practice…Thank you
ОтветитьJust started taking your sax course. It's amazing makes a big difference. Thank you.
ОтветитьHey Scott. I just began to play sax and I was wandering whether I can make my sax whisper by using a soft (1.5) reed or do I need to move up and take a stiffer reed?
ОтветитьI would love a Ben Webster sound.
ОтветитьThat’s great! Thanks master
ОтветитьI have a feeling I'll be signing up!!! Thanks!!! But which mouthpiece with which opening do you play on this video?
Sorry if you've already answered 1000 times... For my part, I play on a King 20 with several high quality mouthpieces. I spare you the list.
Does the microphone magnify your sound? I find it beautiful. I don't speak English very well, which explains my naive questions... Thank you anyway for your commitment....
Hey! I tried the whisper soft long tones and my intonation really goes up when playing them. Why is that and what should I do to fix it??
ОтветитьThanks Scott for your great advice.
ОтветитьBla Bla Bla...bla Bla ,, só bored 🥴
ОтветитьThank you sir! Im 2 years in on sax at my young age of 51. Im ready to go next level and make this sax saaaang. Thank you so much for these fundamentals. Id like the warm fat full sound. But that soft airy you demonstrated is niiice. 🎉🎉🎉🎉
ОтветитьThis is exactly what I needed, thank you 🙏
ОтветитьWow, whisper long tones will be fun to try.
ОтветитьBueno seria si tubiera leyenda en castellano
It would be nice if there were subtitles in Spanish, gracias
Scott, I love whispering long tones. Going to try it!
I get air speed but I can’t visualize your air patterns.
Tell me more 🎵
I'm studying sax for 3 years . I can't improve my tune in 1 millimeter.. I'm thinking to move to trumpet . I think you can't notice too much difference in tune as saxophone (my naive impression ). What do you guys opinion ?
ОтветитьI had a pretty good tone on saxophone the very first time I picked one up, at age 15, in 1973. Your sound is your sound is your sound, and no amount of practice, mouthpiece, reed, etc. is going to alter that. Chick Corea said I had a great sound. Ravi said I sounded beautiful. Of course, I've played my Mark VI tenor itself over 70,000 hours since 1973....
ОтветитьTenor?
ОтветитьProper warm-ups gradually bringing in all the right elements is great value...by the way...thanks a million man...having THE best time...😂
Ответить❤
ОтветитьHi Scott you always use these coloured mouthpiece. Have you ever try the Joddy Jazz pieces and if you have what do you think of them in sound and build quality ?
Ответить🙏🏼💕
ОтветитьVery helpful! Thank you!
Ответитьgreat instruction. I'm going to use this in my practice from now on.
ОтветитьScott I’m trying to achieve for romantic saxophone sound. My fiancé loves saxophone music and I’m trying to get my sound as if I’m in a church with a romantic sound
ОтветитьMastering the low sound as you said, that is great.
ОтветитьIf you blink you loose 😂
ОтветитьGreat advice! Thank you! Your online school is great! Recommend for anyone watching this video!
ОтветитьThank you so much
ОтветитьYou are so clear in your lessons. Thank you 🙏
ОтветитьLove your teaching!!!!
ОтветитьI'm striving for a soft, soulful noir sound on my tenor.
