I bought a MacPro 5.1 2012 2x2.4 Ghz, 24 Gb ram, 240 Gb SSD, 500 HDD, 640 Gb HDD, ATI Radeon HD 5770 1Gb, for 2000 DDK(about $183).I have installed an RX 590 8 GB GP, and installed Big Sur.😀 But I can't wake it, from deep sleep.😑

After I updated, I didn’t get the popup to install OCLP to my internal hard drive. Open Core was not on my computer anymore. How do I fix this?

Much appreciated 2nd time doing this for a unsupported mac and it really gave me a fun project this Saturday doing it, I jus recently pulled a old mid 2012 out the ewaste bin repaired some corrosion on the power delivery and got it going so this jus made it a more modern machine, we’ll be going back in with a cheap ssd tho, took 4 hours total on this old spinner 😂

hey! great video. worked perfectly until the install - got a black screen mid way followed by Apple Support error code -1007F. any ideas please?

When i boot in recovery mode, it doesnt say install mac bigsur or sonomo, its still saying old catalina.

It's a great and detailed video! I wish something similar existed for unsupported iPads so we could install newer iOS to bring capable devices back to life.

i have installed it on my MBP 2011 8.2 but the intel 3000 hd graphics card is not showing in the "about this mac"

Got Big Sur installed on my 2012 MacBook Pro. Works great except once it goes into hibernation mode. The sleep will only last about half n hour and then the sleep cuts off. When I go to open after that it then has to kinda reboot to wake up. Any fix?

A quick question if possible: I installed Big Sur 11.7.9 on my old iMac and it works great. How about the new updating to 11.7.10? Is it worth upgrading and most important: how can I update without breaking the OCLP installation?
