Jeff Gordan from 95-03 was the undeniable best nascar driver we’ve ever seen

Throw out all the championships throw out all the records, he wasn't a dirty driver like a certain number 3. He drove excellent, with integrity and class. Best ever in my book.

Jeff wasted no time in setting in , he went all , the guy that finally didn't back down Earhart every other driver would just sort of get out of his way you feel something pushing you up the track the bump run rhen Jeff came along you want trade some paint bring it on , my favorite driver since I started watching nascar when I was very young ,

I still can’t believe I’m 36 years old, grew up watching this guys and cheering for him. I was 7-8 years old and had no clue what nascar was and then the race was on at my grandparents house and this guy in a rainbow car won and from that day forward I was a NASCAR fan and die hard Gordon fan. NASCAR wasn’t the same after the 2005-2007 but I still watched bc of Gordon. While the sport now is board line pathetic I at least get to say I got to cheer for one of the great and watch him battle the great Dale Earnhardt. I loved watching Gordon and Earnhardt race each other, the respect and drive that made each drive better. It saddens me that all great things come to a end.

Gordon and Johnson are the goats of nascar. Id argue kyle busch 3rd, dale sr 4th, tony stewart 5th, petty 6th. Idc about the championship argument. Johnson was great at the chase tracks and the chase overall, gordon was the most consistent overall, would have 7 championships had they not changed formats. Kyle Busch is just a racing freak and has won a ton in all levels. Dale is dale, sorry but hes not as good as 24 or 48. Idc how iconic he is. Its simply not true. Far less rules when he drove, less competitive, and his driving style was sloppy. Stewart was a great all around driver, and while he had 200 wins and you cant discredit that, petty had ZERO competition, almost zero regulations to cars, and raced far more races. Required far less skill required in his time. After 6 is really a toss uo.

I followed Jeff Gordon in the Busch Series in the Baby Ruth Ford Car . And Rick Hendrick picked him up in put him in a Chevy. And he won back to back races . So I got a picture of Jeff Gordon race. And built me a plaque out of wood, my favorite driver .😊 I just like to see his face look at my plaque. Maybe I could get a blue paint marker, so he could autographic !!! 😊

One of my favorite things about Jeff Gordon, was his snubbing by a lot of drivers, while gaining respect of the best.

"You can intimidate me out here, but when we get in those cars, I'm gonna walk all up and down your ass."

"You're alright kid. Let's go get lunch and talk about merchandise."

No those aren't actual quotes. More the sentiment, once Jeff realized that he could still win even racing the big boys, and when guys like Earnhardt realized he was a clean racer and still whooping the field.

I always liked the pictures and videos of he and Dale. You just know at some point there was a "Super Troopers" moment between them where Dale was like "what are you doing with that cheesy little 'adult film' (censors🙄) stache? I'll tell you when it's time to grow a mustache rookie." 🥸

A lot of fans hated Jeff Gordon, because he beat the other guy that they already hated. 🤷🏻‍♂️🤦🏻‍♂️😄😄😄 "Oh, we LIKE Earnhardt now. You suck!" 😄😄😄

Gordon really should be a 6 time champion. They changed the scoring system that rewarded winning more than the old system that rewarded consistent drivers. If you use the old scoring system gordon would have won 2 more.
