Quick question. Your opinion on my next lens. I have an eosR and like to do nature. For my next lens I’m looking for either 70-200 f2.8 or better reach 100-500 variable and there is nothing else in between. Is the reach of one outweighs the aperture of the other. The price is close but I don’t know. Maybe you can do a comparison with cons and pros. Thanks

Great videos! Just a tip from a noob; close the LCD-monitor on the camera while filming yourself, so that your eyes focus on the lens instead. In this video your eyes are often wandering. I became aware of it and din't hear what you were saying anymore...

Matti, I rushed and did no research, bought a 90d a few months ago and should have just gotten the EOS R. Are you still using it? I think for the price point it is a fantastic camera and am thinking of trading in our 90D for the R. Any advice or input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

R5 and A7SII - back to Sony now?

I'm starting a cancer page on here and need some advice.
I'll be interviewing, taking photos, following my own and others journey's, traveling (when I'm able to) to meet others going through, surviving, healing, and meeting families who have lost loved ones.
Now, where you come in, I'm on a pretty tight budget, I was looking into the Cannon EOS M50, EOS R (that's really pushing it though with the R)
So that's like my limited budget looks like $$ wise for a camera.
Any suggestions?
What I need, sharp full frame photos, can handle dark or low light situations, good clean video, also can handle dark or low light situations.
Flipy screen (side flip, not top flip) because it hinders a mic, Bluetooth, wifi, mic in jack (would love headphone jack) but that's not necessary.
Inexpensive lenses (affordable)
Any suggestions?

On an overall aspect, would you recommend this camera for someone who is novice/mid-novice with photography? I am going to join a masters program here photography and video shoots are a core aspect and I am trying to figure out which camera to buy. I am leaning towards canon cause I have used some of them in the past and the design and the button layout seems quite natural to me. Right now, I am trying to figure out between the EOD 90D and EOS R.

Right now, in India, the EOS R 1.5x the cost of EOS 90D (Body only). That along with the RF lenses or and EF Adapter will increase the cost. On the flip-side, I am worried about losing out some of the advantages the EOS R has to offer (looking at C-LOG specifically) . I am going to have a good mix of photography and video shoot and at the same time, I am ready to also get into the short film and ad shooting space (moving on from just writing short scripts as part of my own skill development). I don't really care much for 4k right now, so the crop factor does not matter to me in the EOD R as compared to the 90 D but the slow-motion limitation is something I might miss if I do not take the 90 D.

Any idea if the release of the R5 and R6 will help dent the costs anytime soon (I am talking weeks and not months here)? Even if they were to reduce the difference to about 15-20% as compared to 50% right now, I could see myself going that extra mile.

Any tips/suggestions will be nothing short of a life saviour here.
