I have a very full schedule on my industrial design career, so I try to do art every time I can between classes. However, it's only sketches and studies, and I really miss doing full rendered pieces on my Ipad but when I arrive home I'm exhausted :( any tips for that?
ОтветитьIt's true when you said most people stop making art within 5 to 10 years. Most of my classmates quit art several months after graduating in 2018. It was very hard finding a job in animation for everyone in school but I didn't give up. I kept going. Now I'm a wayy better artist than I was in school. I have more confidence and I plan to continue trying my best to make money as an independent artist. :D
ОтветитьI've mentored about a dozen people and it surprised me the ones who turned out great and made careers weren't the ones who learned quickly but the ones who never gave up. I find that people need help with loosening up more than learning the fundamentals. Practice only means something once you find what excites you and makes you smile and laugh. So long as you have fun, you'll never give up.
ОтветитьI am starting my first art show at 21 years old soon, and I’m in crunch time and it’s very overwhelming to be honest! This video came to me at the perfect time, since I have always had doubts if I’m good enough to make it, esp now. I love your art and advice, thank you!
ОтветитьHey teacher how is the time to expand? Like to draw for example DnD and expand to pet portrait for example? Which is the perfect time ?? Also can u talk about illustration for commercial use?? Like book cover
ОтветитьMan, these are all really valuable tips! The part with taking time really resonated with me, as I'm the person who's always worried that I may not be drawing fast enough, especially since I want to be a concept artist. I've come to realize speed isn't an important factor in creating good art, and I should allow myself to take the time I need to produce the best art I can. Sometimes I feel the need to come back another day to see if there are any mistakes I've missed, so taking extra time after saying "'I'm done" is actually super important. There's no pain quite like seeing all the mistakes you missed and changes you want to make to your artwork after already posting it 🥲
ОтветитьHow doesn't your channel have 100k+? This is top level advice and content. By the way, could you talk about study/work time splitting? I say this because I see a lot of artists selling all their hours for commissions and not reserving a bit of their time to do actual observation studies, gestual, warm-ups etc.
ОтветитьThx for this
Ответитьcommunity is very important, great video. And yes, AI it's a false idol, nice analogy
ОтветитьThis was a great video, i’ll have to share it with my discord group. It can actually be applied to any sort of craft honestly, not just visual art ✨
ОтветитьArt is my only drug. I will never quit!!!
