Thank you. That is the most useful thing I have seen in a long time.
ОтветитьYou are a great actor
ОтветитьThank you !!! This has happened to me and I thought exactly what ya said n put it back in and cranked it down, after my hissy fit.....now I know for next time...again, thank you!!!
ОтветитьAnyone who watches the videos on this excellent channel should receive college credit. A lot of it.
ОтветитьThis channel is amazing. I love wood work so much, thank you for the videos and info!
ОтветитьI'm about to get a lesson on using a router from my dad, whose routering equipment is a tad old and neglected due to it being inherited from one of my grandparents and being a tool he doesn't use that regularly. Seeing this, I'll definitely be giving the shanks a bit of TLC before I get started. Reading up on routers has thoroughly impressed on me the idea that anything with more substance to it than the little flakes of wood it cuts off when working properly should not be by any means compatible with the word "loose." Both for quality of work reasons and because, frankly, anything spinning that fast that comes off at speed is going to be rather more comparable to a bullet than I'm comfortable with.
ОтветитьI love it!
ОтветитьJust came across this video, and although my problem was not a loose shank but a destroyed pattern bearing while I was rounding over some wood causing the bit to bite deeper. Can you make a video of how you could possibly "repair" the damage caused by a misguided router bit? Sometimes a person is just far too deep into a project to just find another $9 a bd foot piece to replace the damage. Your video's and delivery are excellent
ОтветитьWow. I don't know how the video could have been more awesome. Great tip fun skit and dagnabbit now I know what in the tarnation my router bit did
ОтветитьDamn the script and filming and editing on this video are really awesome...
ОтветитьI don’t know who storyboards these tubes however, on top of being a great instructor, he is a very talented, Emmy Award level actor. I never have enough of those videos… educational AND entertaining!
ОтветитьThank you sir
ОтветитьNow I have a use for those 4 assorted boxes of o-rings I bought from Harbor Freight Junk. There was so many options though.
ОтветитьFantastic open.
ОтветитьGostaria de aprender esta tecnica, se fosse traduzido para a lingua portuguesa seria mais facil, moro no Brasil - estado de São Paulo- Ribeirao preto
Ответить👏👏👏
ОтветитьI bet thousands of people have had either the fillet problem or the shank problem.
Now I’ve got to get all the dirty shanks out of my shop.
Watching this again cuz it's so entertaining. This situation is especially egregious when you're using an upcut mill in a CNC! The spindle/router keeps moving sideways while the bit slips further and further down, causing all manner of damage to your stock, and maybe even your table bed and your router!
ОтветитьAs always, very useful and to the point. Thanks, Nick.
