what went wrong that's easy anything offering 20 percent return per year is huge risk. Companies that have fancy satelites and shit ton of data can only get 13 percent and they lose majority due to all the expenses so they really make 10 percent.

If it sounds too good to be true, it almost certainly is. If they're appealing to your emotions and/or placing themselves as standing against a common, easy enemy, they're manipulating you to make impulsive decisions. Any company is trying to make a profit, they're not your friends or charities (hell even many charities aren't good charities). Every time someone thinks that a company has their customers' best interests in mind they've been fooled, even honest companies need to constantly think about money to survive, and those are a rarity.

The moment you stop thinking of companies as your friends or caring about your well-being, it becomes a lot easier to make more logical decisions about where to put your money.

Rewatching this video, and I thought about why I trust my bank. It’s not because I trust the people running it. I’m trusting the regulations to keep them honest. In this vein, I don’t understood how anyone does business with Wells Fargo. The degree of uncovered corruption suggests a deep systemic problem with crime. When my company (as an employee only) was bought by credit Swiss in 2000, we were embarrassed by the number of times they were found to be corrupt. They thankfully sold us to another bank. And now, 23 years later, Credit Swiss is in the toilet. It was no surprise to me. Any minute that will happen to Wells Fargo. Mark my words.
